dont think it will have any impact.

madness fans are nutters for the band, and this is the anniversary gig - im certainly looking into going to both (glasto already booked of course)

they were due to play the Pyramid a couple of years ago when they played, but due to a couple of factors it couldn't happen in the end.

I'd be surprised to see them anywhere but the Pyramid - there's few bands who have such wide appeal, and there's few people who don't know all their songs.

arse, arse, arse

perfect sunday pyramid stuff, i will gutted if they dont play

eFestivals first rumoured Madness for Glasto in late October, from someone telling us that Suggs said on Richard & Judy that they'd be playing.

So while whatever is "out there" about them playing Glasto in the supposed press release might well be a fake (like I say, that's what Madness' people are saying), I still think they're quite possibly going to be playing.

so does that mean if its true you can say yes they are on? if so does that mean if you find out others you will let us know?

I don't know what I'll be able to let you know about until I'm able to see what I can find out.

But seeing that Suggs has apparently already announced them as playing Glasto on national TV, I reckon that can be taken as a given.

    • Maybe you need a groovy mayor who can get you the money.   Anyway, looks like mayors going to get a whole load of fiscal devolution and greater powers...so best everyone gets one, a decent one, and get a load of Madchesterism.

    • Another great weekend with family and friends.  We spend most of our time between Obelisk, and second stage due to having young children.  Overpass, Florence Road, Nathan Evans, David Byrne and Alex James were the highlights for me.  Quite enjoyed a dance to Gok Wan on the Saturday too.   Certainly feeling the Latitude blues this week and looking forward to next year.   Also looking forward to all the predictions for next year in the 2027 chat.   Hope everyone had a great festival.
    • How much is Burnham's success down to Manchester getting a shitton of investment for public transport infrastructure?   There's no doubt he did the work, but the money dumped into Manchester for him to achieve that was huge - the most of any infrastructure project outside London ever. Did that need a mayor, or just the money?
