I wonder who the special guests are below Pet Shop Boys? Flaming Lips maybe (hopefully)?

im going to have a wild stab in the dark at this, which incidentally, if it turns out to be true is exactly what the bookers will be getting

working on the age old equation of 2+2=5

1 - will have to be someone willing to play below a has been pop act

2 - will have to be someone a has been pop act like

3 - will have to be someone on the up at the moment

4 - will have to be someone to fit in with the general pop feeling of the day

ladies and gentlemen, may i present the final crowning turd on the pile

Lady GaGa!!

I think I might do this next year. That line-up looks nifty. How accessible is it by train? And more importantly, is it good and family friendly? Thanks in advance for any help.

Nearest train station is Halesworth, which is on the London-Ipswich line. They run shuttle buses from the station to the site throughout the event.

My kids are now of legal drinking age, but I'd say it's very family friendly, there's a lovely kid's area with lots going on, and a family camping bit. There's always loads of kids of all ages running about, and it doesn't get hugely crowded, so there's always space for families to picnic and chill out. It's not a huge site, so less worry about little'uns going AWOL, and the security people make sure kids on their own are OK, which is nice.

I've heard parents complain about the cost of food and drinks (although I don't know why people pay huge ammounts for bottled water when there are taps) and I guess it could really add up if you were buying all your food from stalls.

    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
