Couldn't stop laughing at that, seriously? What was that about? £20 fine, are you messing?

If only bud.

The picture Nal posted is from the BBC News site. Tickets have now been rescinded. But after the Hyde Park switch off fiasco comes this. Bet Bruce is dreading going through customs on the way out.

They're running Bruce out of town.

When you think about the fact hes only played Streets of Philadelphia 5 times this century and Secret Garden - what? 3 times ever?!

Theyre other bands closing encores every night.

What a tune. The "Ain't no angel gonna greet me" middle eight is one of my favourite Bruce moments. So powerful and sad it could stop a stampede of elephants.

Vocal for the video recorded live.

Tunnel of Love is another of Bruce's Freudian "mickey" songs.

That and Prove it All Night.

Thought the bit in Springsteen and I with Red Headed Woman was distasteful aswell. I've zero time for "lusty" Bruce. "Reno" for example. Yuck.

So after a few beers last night, a few Boss tunes and a mate telling me how he regrets not seeing the Stones at Glasto and missing gigs in general is shit Ive bought a ticket for tomorrow!

Good man. You know it makes senses. This from the bloke who'd pretty much had it with Bruce for this tour. You can still get tix then?

Glad you enjoyed it Nal.

Was watching the setlist as it developed on Greasy Lake (sad person that I am). Looked as if he got to a point with the three tour premiers when he could have gone all the way and done a really wacky set - then settled back and went for Born To Run instead.

Saying that - it was Bruce and it wasnt just any old album. Assume anybody there had a superb night

Wooderson - you were at both nights?

41 shots was great. Wild Billys Circus not so much. Lost the crowd there a bit. Thats the problem when you cater to the nerds sign requests.

Good show. Although I've seen that encore like 10 times now! Not sure why he plays This Little Light of Mine twice. Wasn't loud enough either. After Stockholm nothing will be! He played Adam Raised a Cain and the difference in volume was crazy. The intro nearly took my head off in Stockholm.

I've seen too many shows now and I'm properly Bruced out. Really this time!

Yeah - some of the signs at recent gigs have been ridiculous. It was the same with TV Movie at Cardiff. So its not been played before - theres a reason.

I dont think I've ever heard a Springsteen gig like that Stockholm sound. Live like it should be heard. Enough of the stadiums already.

Interesting new thread on BTX this morning: When Did Bruce Leave the Stage to Take a Dump.

Nice trolling - they'll be foaming at the mouth

EDIT: I take it back. People are actually responding. And the first responder is one of our very own.

    • How much is Burnham's success down to Manchester getting a shitton of investment for public transport infrastructure?   There's no doubt he did the work, but the money dumped into Manchester for him to achieve that was huge - the most of any infrastructure project outside London ever. Did that need a mayor, or just the money?
    • Sounds good tbh.
    • Bristol was the only city in 2012 that voted for a mayor. We had a local independent who was popular, then Marvin Rees won and was so corrupt that Bristol voted to get rid of the position - having just had the WECA mayor position put in place as well.
    • They built a watering system and have been watering the island for the past few weeks to reduce dust, but given the current drought, there will still be dust. They will cover twice as much ground around the main stage with those plastic panels as they did before. They couldn't book Gogol Bordello because the singer was afraid the government would allow Russian security services to capture him if he entered the country. They didn't have much room to be selective about artists. They booked whoever they could get. This year's Sziget will be only about 50% of his original vision. He wanted a dedicated rock stage. They are preparing for a loss of 1.5 billion HUF this year. For some reason, student tickets are not selling in the numbers they had expected. He said that when he talks about the lineup being less important, he doesn't mean Sziget should have a weaker lineup than Primavera. Rather, it should have a similarly strong lineup combined with much more non-musical programming, so people from abroad come here to see the same artists but have a completely different overall experience. He didn't miss Sziget and originally wanted to spend no more than two days a week dealing with it, but now he's working on it full-time and has handed over control of the rest of his businesses.
    • Well the point seems to be 22.7% turn out doesn't suggest the majority are rushing out to support the mayoral system.
