Saw Dark Knight Rises last night at the IMAX.

Thought it was really good. I'm not going to analyse it too much, I'm already weary of the opinions.

I'll go by my gut reaction and the feeling of people in the cinema, which was general enjoyment.

The only thing I'm gutted about now is that all we get now is a reboot.

There's no reboot or at least for a while, Warner Bros are now trying to rush a Justice League movie into production because of how well Avengers did and now that Harry Potter has finished they need a new yearly franchise release with the DC back catalogue being it.

Although both Anne Hathaway & Nolan have both been saying that a Catwoman movie (set in The Dark Knight Rises world) should be made.

They gave the impression that Selina found her peace at last by vanishing with Bruce. A Catwoman movie would seem so cynical and forced now. To carry on would be as redundant and as pointless as the Men in Black or Matrix sequels. The story is over.

Just realised something about TDKR.....

That pit, prison thingy - that's the Lazarus Pit. People go in broken, come out reborn, changed, stronger. Nicely re-imagined supernatural element there.

The cast of Machete 2 is insane, it has Mel Gibson, Lady Gaga, Charlie Sheen, Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba and Lindsey Lohan. I would love to see how that lot interact with each other during filming.

Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the film but it really lacks a few "wtf" moments like the last one, there's nothing to match the truck flip or the magic trick and even things like the Bat & the Bane fight were just ok even though they could/should of been brilliant.

    • MGK would probably end my interest in this festival completely.
    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
    • Debut album from Haiver (ex Frightened Rabbit's Billy Kennedy band) is an absolutely gorgeous thing. If you're a fan of FR then you'll probably like it. Definitely a contender for album of the year for me.
    • The tickets for the back at Muse, did go on sale. I know because I bought tickets there because they were the cheapest. All in with fee's, I got tickets at £81.20 each.   So likely, sold out quickly for those wanting the cheapest tickets. Either that or sold poorly and they took them off sale and when I turn up they offer me paper ticket upgrades because they closed the back.
