The idea of The Artics headlining is immensly boring, they were dull as f**k when they played under Muse in '06 and are ridiculously overhyped. I'd also be shcoked to see AC/DC play when they'd not only suit Download more, but could probably still fill a stadium by themselves.

Oasis have got a single in a month, then an album coming out in October. I believe they've also got some live dates in October/November. Can see them headlining T and Reading next year.

It will be:

AC/DC or Green Day

Kaiser Chiefs or Arctic Monkeys

Radiohead or Oasis

Kaiser Chiefs are aching to headline leeds cuz it's their home town!

I generally think it's gunna be radiohead and to be a festival geek I've made reasons on why:

1. Reading & Leeds can offer them a crap load more cash than Glastonbury (glasto can only pay them them £200,000) whilst R&L can pay em a million and as much as ppl argue - MUSICIANS LOVE THE CASH

2. They've headlined glasto before they've never headlined R&L

3. R&L have dropped their main sponsor (carling) - which radiohead have criticised them before for having!

4. Radiohead have criticised glasto for not being eco friendly - R&L have much more public transport to the event

5. Radiohead didnt do any english festies last year in order to tour in rainbows - so they will b lookin for an english festival to play - though Latitude prob is a more appropriate festie for them tbh

    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
    • Proper loser behaviour wearing a tee like that. Me and my mate play a game every year called ‘Boomer Tees’ and there’s some gems every time.
