I heard from someone who really does know about these things that all this year's budgets were frozen at last years levels. Obviously there could be exceptions for particular new projects.

I'd be interested in that. From what I have read, heard and seen of Coachella, I don't think that I'd be a good fit. Always happy to have my mind changed.

Groovy Movie not been there since, I think 2017. Sadly we lost Moffers who ran it, a good old mate. It was sold to a guy called Felix who has it at Glastonbury for one year but it didn't work out and it hasn't been back since.

In '87 The Mutoids provided hundreds of pieces of rebar that were about two foot long that everyone used to drum on the cars, sculptures and oil drums. Obviously drumming on the old American cars wouldn't be allowed this year. Potentially other less valuable or more robusttuff could be provided to drum on but in this day and age H&S would likely forbid people to have access to drum sticks that they would view as weaponry. Shame, as it was a fantastic experience to be involved in.

Had it confirmed that Carhenge is happening. It was extraordinarily good and completely groundbreaking in '87. Blew me away. No doubt that it will be as good or likely even better this year.

I'm guessing here, but creating an installation (maybe a rehash of the '87 Carhenge) over the whole field and a small stage/DJ booth with speakers throughout the field would safely increase the capacity of the field? Would help to address the overcrowding issues on the Wednesday and Thursday.

Pretty sure people failed at the last hurdle on ticket day when trying to pay with Revolut. Can't set why it's not acceptable. Handy and saves a fortune when travelling.
