  1. Sounds good, let me know. Workload may prevent attendance but hopefully not.
  2. Don't know if this has been posted already. Ren said no Glastonbury recently in a podcast that @Crazyfool01 alerted me to . He's posted this on FB a couple of hours ago
  3. Having a push iron on site if crew is fantastic, especially during the build. Can't remember the last time that I didn't have one there.
  4. Don't know. He could have been one of the first two though.
  5. Unless they're just repositioning it to fit in with the new layout...
  6. Yep, mate of mine. He used to be Groovy Movie crew. Lovely bloke.
  7. I can say categorically that you can thank Sally from Croissant Neuf for stepping in this afternoon and getting Mik back onboard.
  8. I'll definitely check it out. There is no way on earth that it could possibly match '87. The original was the first time that anything like that had happened at a UK festival. In those days everything shut down at about midnight apart from hanging around campfires listening to, usually, bad guitar playing accompanied with an off it hippy dribbling into a penny whistle. Carhenge went on all night, a ground breaking installation with audience participation drumming on the sculptures and bins with rebar. Completely unheard of in those days. If the original hadn't ever happened and then it appeared this year for the first time, lots of people would be Meh. We have been spoiled. EDIT, to add, that night in '87 was one of the most memorable nights of my life.
  9. Coke is a bit rubbish. Mushrooms are much better environmentally, ethically, psychologically and socially.
  10. It doesn't sell Tonic Water.
  11. Same here. Accidentally found myself watching an old rerun of Countdown the other day and Carol Vorderman was presenting it. I got aroused. Was well chuffed, I hardly ever get a seven letter word.
  12. It was 2016, CN's 30th anniversary. A pic of the field when Travis were on.
  13. 1/2 teaspoon of table salt and six teaspoons of sugar in 1 litre of water. The perfect rehydration mix. Same effect as the brand names. Miraculous results. If sceptical, Google it. This is worth remembering.
  14. Jeez, you're male and from Scotland, was expecting a request for a crate of Bucky 😁 Joking apart, someone may well offer help.
  15. Good luck everyone and remember to deploy your lucky pants.
  16. The one I'm referring to is 28, was also there in the womb. Her elder sister has done the same 😀
  17. It is. A certain young lady is flying home from Australia as she couldn't face breaking her life long run of attendance.
  18. The future direction of the festival frightens me TBH. Nah, it'll be OK. It's already an "out of control" behemoth. Not really...... Maybe. No idea how it could be scaled back or even stopped. It's become too important to the local economy and the UK. Yup. It's become a British institution, Yep, which works massively in its favour. The types that tried to shut it down30+ years ago now have to be seen there. If you can stomach it, have a look at this guide to events in 2023 nhttps://www.thesloaney.com/the-season-a-guide-to-the-british-summer-social-seasonin In complete contrast to it's counter culture roots. Looking at the big picture, in many ways yes. It was the only way to go to survive. Having said that, as you will well know, there are plenty of pockets of counter culture, including of the old school variety, that still thrive there.
  19. I heard from someone who really does know about these things that all this year's budgets were frozen at last years levels. Obviously there could be exceptions for particular new projects.
