Excellent booking.

The state of the ground will be fine. I can feel it in my waters.

James just self confirmed on R2
-
Yup, also missed him. Could actually hear snatches of him on the wind but had run out of steam. My No 1 regret when I could have but didn't.

If you want to treat yourself, eat at The Queen Of Cups. It's a little more pricey than most eateries but well worth it. You'll probably have to prebook. I ate there for the first time a few weeks ago. Fantastic! Michelin award and MasterChef The Professionals chef.

May I refer you to the first line of my post which you have snipped a line from and quoted here? ^ There you go, the line which makes me a little puzzled with your comment.

Erm, some elements were considerably worse! Having said that, it's obviously very wrong to tar everyone with the same brush..... including me For example the Brew comment. I was a Brew drinker but was a responsible hooligan 😁
-
Yep, just SL.
-
Oi, steady on with the Brew comments 😆
-
If I had a magic wand I would wave it and replace SL with Lost Vagueness when it was at its finest.
-
No, his 80th birthday party. Quite a bash!

Yep, with the largest fireplace that I've ever seen in a dwelling. Many logs the size of 50 gallon oil drums will fit in it.You could literally fit a SWB Transit van in it! Obviously it is in the living room which looks out over the festival site. The window is floor to ceiling glass in a semicircle that takes up almost half the room. All absolutely wonderful.

What Happened To All The Klezmer and Electro-Swing?

Tragic Roundabout used to play everywhere all the time. If not on a stage they would play on the drag or by a fire. Don't think that they ever slept. -
Kamikaze Karoke, was there for many years. Emma, an old mate used to run it.

The Guardian didn't know the half of it.... or decided to keep a lid on it. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2003/jun/29/glastonbury2003.glastonbury2

Yep, one of Roy's projects called Big Caravan, during the Lost Vagueness era predating The Unfairground. Was going out live on C4 until the content started to breach just about every broadcasting guideline in the book and C4 had no option but to pull the plug. We'd been following it a bit and wandered into The Chapel Of Love And Loathe at about 3.00am. Expected it to be bouncing in there. We walked in, it was packed but you could have heard a pin drop. The antics inside Big Caravan were being streamed live on big screens. We then hotfooted it to the actual caravan. Possibly the most outrageous and out there thing I've ever witnessed at Glastonbury.

I wonder when those other festivals will be able to start booking some some of the biggest artists in the world ever.... for a massively reduced fee......

😉😀

Nor me.

What have you done to get ready for Glastonbury 24 ?
Sawdusty surfer replied to Crazyfool01's topic in Chat
Just got home (managed to dodge the rain!) with a huge branch of Cedar Of Lebanon. About three tonnes in total, cut into managable chunks. Put a load of the thinner pieces in lean-to. Will split and stack soon. Keeping it for our firepit which we sometimes use at the festival. It smells absolutely fantastic when it burns. -
You'd miss the guest appearance from Meatghost😄

Coldplay headlining two nights. Sources close to Chris Martin claim that 'he's keen'.

Been a little damp round here over the last couple of days. This pic from near Glastonbury.
