  1. Pointless is our house, my Missus has never been and never wants to, and I try not to say too much in front of my 5 year old as he really wants to go, so therefore I just come on here to get my fix!
  2. Just round the corner from Gatwick so I'm another one travelling from "London". I expected Liverpool to have the most considering the amount of Scouse accents I hear every year!

    Jamie T

When he played T'Other stage a few years back he clashed with Paul Weller on the Pyramid, it was a terrible clash for me, hopefully he's back this year as no clash will get in the way this time.
  4. Just come on here and get more involved with the chat, as well as having more regular conversations with mates in our Whatsapp group about the line up etc. Oh and have regular check up on Glastocam each day waiting to see that fence start appearing from either side.
  5. They'd probably have to re-write Sheep to erm....................................!
  6. I think he should be on the farm during the lead up constantly singing "Build", Norman could join him as well!
  7. Well happy with the Paul Heaton news, would be happy with a JP appearance or headlining Acoustic on the Friday or Sunday. I was quite surprised how small the crowd was in 2016 when they were on T'Other stage.
  8. Just went back the one page to see if the Tweet had been posted as the post I saw had only been put on Twitter this morning, it must've been doing the rounds for a bit longer!
  9. Keep tabs on Oxfam, there's also spaces becoming available right up to the festival.
  10. It doesn't fill up as quick as other fields and there are usually little bits of spare space dotted around on Wednesday afternoon, usually full up by Thursday though. Happy to give you the heads up on the day.
  11. Michaels Mead every year, pitch up at the top of the hill near the ITV West setup. Always been a good place for us as the ground doesn't get bad with the bad weather, and it not full of them rowdy young folk!! Great view over the site as well. Last year we parked West and it was a much better route to where we camp, although Gate A was a nightmare at 10:30am.
  12. I take a back route from Shepton Mallet and come down a road called The Somerset Levels, turn right at the bottom of there onto Whitstone Hill Road and that takes you through Pilton to the West car parks.
  13. Just back from the gym, did a 5 minute warm up on the rower (yes I know I won't be rowing anywhere at Glastonbury!) as my legs are still struggling from squats on Wednesday so avoided the treadmill, then did 2 x 15 minute EMOM sessions, certainly ready for the weekend now and a few ciders. Currently quite happy with my fitness and should only get better now barring any more illnesses, had 2 chest infections in the last 6 months. Will be ok for the festival and the many walks to and from the car, in fact I quite enjoy the early morning stroll to the car when the site is quiet.
  14. Being the annoying customer holding the queue up just to get some daft barcode scanned that shop assistant had no clue about! I was doing the codes in my mates name and he received a Mallets Festival Pack, think it had a solar phone charger in it. I won a Brothers festival pack a few years back which I've still got the t-shirt from "The weekend in front" and "The sun on my back" it has on it.
  15. That's the one. The competitions back then were: Mallets Cider (will be Brothers this year) The Guardian, buy the paper and scan the barcode in the shop Great Western Railway Water Aid EE (Follow on Twitter) Efests National Express Co-op Radio 2
  16. There was a good thread for competitions back in 2019, I've looked for it but cannot find it. It might be useful to list who were doing competitions back then so people can keep an eye out. Surely The Guardian will be doing one again, think I spent a month of buying it without any luck, although my mate was successful. Also The Guardian did another competition but you had to have been a member/signed up with them for a certain length of time. There was also a magazine that did a competition, can't remember who it was though.
  17. I'm definitely in the Thatchers camp although I will give this "new" Brothers release a try, hopefully it's not a rebrand of Mallets as that wasn't the best, bought plenty of cases of that trying to win tickets for 2019. I'll be buying a case over the next couple of weeks so I'm happy to pass on any codes to those still needing a ticket. Wonder how much we are looking at a pint? I've seen gigs and event venues charging £7+ a pint.
  18. Good effort, I'm nowhere near that time nowadays, did the GNR and Silverstone half in 45 minutes, but that was a good few years ago now, I'll be more 50 minutes now judging on my last 8km run a couple of weeks ago at just over 39 mins.
  19. I prefer crows to seagulls!
  20. Strongbow £10 for 18 in Tesco, stocked up for the festival.
  21. I prefer to do several trips with light weight, first trip in is just my tent, chair and a couple of cans then go back to the car during the day to pick up more stuff. I don't envy the struggle for coach people though that have loaded up.
  22. Padgey

    Crazyfool is in!!

Great news, glad he got a ticket
  23. Keep flags Ban chairs Burn rugs
  24. Plenty there I like and a few that I've been meaning to give a try so I'm more than happy with what we have so far. I'm sure there's more surprises on the way when the individual stage posters start coming through.
