  1. I thibk the only fairer way of allocating ticket is reducing the amount of 6 again to 4, would help smaller groups I guess. A lotter or a ballot etc just wouldn't work imo We ended up getting 12 out our group, but still need another 11 in the resales
  2. Get a really good self inflating mat, a good one will cost around £80, and a camping bed, budget ones of these tend to be good enough. Combined they make for a great sleep
  3. Obviously not all attendees, but seems to be the general consensus among alot of the people who we generally go with, only the people who attended for the first time that I knew where still blown away with it
  4. Price rise doesn't seem great, after what was seen by many this year for various reasons, as a disappointing festival. But if tickets where released today even at £350, it would still sell out instantly and people would be happy to pay it. We'll still be trying for tickets personally, but if next years festivals plays out similar to this one (which was great but definitely didn't live upto previous years) and the inevitable further price increase for the 2024 festival think that will finally be the year we dont bother
  5. I think it was a combination of people not knowing it was there, no longer having camp fires or not having space by there tents for one We usually always have a small fire between our tents, normally bring our own wood, but just wasn't enough space for us to have one safely where we were on Oxlyers, barely any space between tents
  6. Tbh when our full group is together it well over 40 people, maybe even 50😆 probably only at that amount for the Wednesday/thursday though, and everyone goes off to do whatever the next few days. Its been around that figure the last 3 festivals, only 2 people missing out on tickets this year.
  7. Expand the sound field and add a bar or 2, with basic seating on opposing sides of each other, would improve the field greatly
  8. Seen some pretty bad burns from them over the years tbf, and alot of ruined clothes😆 They do add to the atmosphere though, just a time and a place for them, someone with half a brain can generally know when and when not to set one off without causing any harm. See alot less of the parachute flares now, but think they are classed as a firearm now, so not too suprising
  9. Give Urquell a go its a tier above Moretti/Perroni imo, but you need a decent mixture in Glastonbury I think, 3/4 beers, went with Urquell, Madri, Moretti & Corona this year
  10. A couple of shower trucks like they have in private camping or other festivals would be great, £10 for a shower (limited to a few minutes), would help stop people washing at the taps
  11. Sams Magic Hat didn't seem to be there this year (Showers in Undel Ground), but there was a paid for shower/sauna tent slighty further up, small opening times though 7am-1pm & 7pm-1am Anyone know why it wasnt at the festival or in a different place? Imagine that, aswell as the general overcrowding contributed to the ridiculous que times in Lost Horizons
  12. Yea was expecting them to of closed access into the SEC Saturday night after seeing those signs, was suprised you could just walk in without waiting from the Cabaret fields, then suprised again when there was no crowd control for access to Shangri-la from the Common, worst I've ever seen Shangri-la that night, shoulder to shoulder space wise until reaching the Unfairground, put alot of people off bothering the next night, poor work/organising from Glasto
  13. I didn't find ques for food or bars thst bad at all tbh, ques for food obviously peak at breakfast and dinner times but seemed decent enough the rest of the day, maybe extra say 5 minutes than would normally expect, never waited more than 5 minutes at the bars. Was just a nightmare moving around the festival in general every path and venue seemed bursting over capacity come Saturday
  14. I don't think you could ever really ban them, too hard to police and they are part of what makes glasto, glasto. The festival could 'ask' that people don't bring them into the front pits of the Pyramid and Other Staves, would make the view down the field better for thousands of people and then millions at homs
  15. Will be trying for tickets, but if I miss out won't be upset or bother in the resale. Definitely didn't feel like the worlds greatest festival this year, that it normally does
  16. I'd rather leave early Sunday night, than sacrifice the Wed/Thurs there still my favourite days. Wasn't the worst Glasto I've been, the weather pretty much saved it, along with great Wed/Thursday nights and all of Friday, but definitely not one that will live great in memory, still trying for tickets next year but if I miss out I don't think I'll be that bothered tbh
  17. From Friday onwards there didn't seem to be a path anywhere that was completely filled with people, whole site seemed to be massively over capacity. Saturday night in Shangri-la was a joke, just too many people crushes, and then shoulder to shoulder standing space in most venues, kills the festival for me
  18. Was disappointed overall like most of the crowd seemed to be, people leaving and talking near through all of it, a small handfull of classics thrown in would of kept peoples attenion more, could barely hear him talking between songs over the crowd talking with disinterest in the set, brilliant finish though.
  19. As the title says, seems we have lost or mislaid our ticket for the Disabled car parking, have contacted Glastonbury & emailed the disabled team, hoping tobhear from them soon. Has this ever happend to anyone else? And have you still managed to gain access to the disabled parking and entrace?
  20. Site will be like a dustbowl by the time the forecast rain comes on Friday, that and wood chippings put down in key places will stop any serious mud. ... I'm hoping anyway😎
  21. 40 x Cans of Beer mix between Madri & Pilsner Urquell 2 Litres of Grey Goose Vodka (Will be shared) 1 Litre of Kraken Dark Rum 2 Bags of wine (can't recall which) 6 cans of Aperol Spritz Anywhere that does a half decent pint (basically anywhere not serving Carlsberg or even worse Tuborg) I'll save the ale, and just buy a few there
  22. Ah great remember watching Bicep in the gastower last time was great, was dreading Solomun was going to be some virtual dj thing on the screens with that update, seen him in pacha a few weeks ago was brilliant, going to be a festival highlight (if he makes it😄)
  23. Apologies if this has already been asked.. Noticed Jamie Jones & Solomun on the Gas Tower Saturday night have been changed to... Jamie Jones - VJ Volata XR & Solomun - VJ Fade in Fade Out Anyone have any idea what that is? Solomun pretty much my main kust see if the festival at this point
  24. Find just putting then under your ground sheet works enough to keep then slighty cold, can't see a space blanket being much better tbh
