  1. I think this is Roger Daltreys last year as curator, the fab amount of money they raise aside, this needs a refresh.
  2. Ah. I couldn't easily see any other dates.
  3. Gladys Knight? Farewell tour. Bristol the week after.
  4. No tickets here. Just two of us on a few devices, some constant refreshing, one just ticking over. I kind of leave it to ticket fate if we go or not so I'm not too upset, but seeing the chat about bots and large groups getting multiple chances, it does nark a little bit. I could get behind a lottery idea I think? Tickets done in pairs as a maximum? The festival has done so much good work on stopping resale touts so it seems a shame if they let these new developments run too far.
  5. Word is the next Liam G album isn't solo but a joint album between him and John Squire. Once thats released and toured, I'd say any Oasis gigs are a good few years away.

    2024 Headliners

I dont dig Pink but shes relevant in the news just today alone.
  7. Stone Foundation at Thekla last night. Great night, lots of energy and cool tunes.
  8. Bearded Theory will be bring a decent Sleaford Mods set with guest vocallists on site.
  9. I was just considering the 'established' acts that do the Forest gigs include Weller and Elbow are at best sub acts, though Elbow were third down in 22. I'd put Sting third down.
  10. Weller playing Edinburgh Castle 13 July suggests outdoor UK activity.
  11. Mad demand. I didn't get anywhere, so glad to have got my ticket fail out of the way before November 5th.
  12. I was think that if she did do a greatest hits 'legend' slot then she would definately be playing her Xmas album in full rather than using it to launch activity that could result in a greatest hits set.
  13. Cher in the Guardian today promoting a new album. No gig info, but ....
  14. Quite possibly. No bonus for the campervanners that will take pretty much everything back home with them, unlike many many tent campers.
  15. We'll only go if we go in the campervan, so with fuel, its £1000 for two of us.
  16. Agreed. I saw them in JP in 2010, didn't attend in '11 and they felt jaded by '13 but they were billed appropriately ... they were genuinely massive. History will be unkind to many acts that were right at the time.
  17. Firm favourites Mumford and the lads played 2010, 2011 and then 2013 after the fallow year in 2012. (But yeah, it was the early 2000's that were lost years 😄 )
  18. I went last Autumn. Parked by the Co-Op and walked into the (now) Woodsies area. We followed the lead of a couple of walkers/runners and wandered around the back of the pyramid field, up the edge on the Other Stage field to the Railway Line. Spotted a few remnants of the festival, identified a few areas (its quite disorientating at times), then retraced our steps and left. Lovely thing to do.
  19. I've no idea, obviously, but the 'I will not let the good work I've done in the world be overshadowed' line is never a good look.
  20. I went to that too. Billy was on good form and the venue was great, hope to see more there in the future.
  21. Just back from Sheffield. Superb gig - Hawley was a sublime support and Pulp were brilliant. I’m so impressed that Jarvis just still has ‘it’. Dont know if I want them going on with a revival gig forever , but Jarvis would have the Pyramid/Other stage eating out of his hand … they’d smash a headline slot.
  22. We are going to Sheffield tomorrow night. Glad its about my only indoor gig this summer!

    Blur

Sunday night. Absolutely blown away. Not the biggest Blur fan historically but that was amazing. Damon genuinely looked in bits at times, moved me to tears. Emotional.
