  1. If Reg's health goes down hill and he ends up cancelling gigs again, Rod can do another headline slot like before is a nice safety net for the festival. What a time to be alive.
  2. Wetleg start at just over £32 Courteeners between £35 and £56 Fair.
  3. Rod completely breaks the perceived Glastonbury debut status of the Legend slot in a big way as a previous headliner, no?
  4. Rods recent calling out of the Tories now makes sense. Laying the groundwork for maximum festival acceptance.
  5. Weren't they just playing behind a screen of cartoons up until Plastic Beach?
  6. What position did Capaldi play before? I cant think he'd be playing third down. He is sub status all day long and at this stage would have an eye on the headline slot if things continue. (They should give him Other headline as they did Jake Bugg, it might stunt his career in a similar way)
  7. If the legend slot is likely to be some Charlie’s Angels who’ve done the Coronation, then the Three Degrees?
  8. I reckon it will have to be female , either solo or band , not just on the diversity front but also , a male ‘old’ star will end looking like a pound shop Relton. No realistic ideas beyond 4/5 Spices to be honest.
  9. If its true that Roxy Music that was the original choice (who are now unavailable) then its fair to say the expectation is reduced anyway. Despite the positivity shown towards them by some, they were going to be a very different experience to more recent years.
  10. Billy Ocean tracks are always on my Tik Tok feed with people dancing in supermarkets etc so he could be more popular than we think. I reckon he has six 'bangers' so with a couple of fillers he could do it.
  11. Van Morrison? I know hes toxic and has played many times in the past. But he is clearly not off limits, and its been a while.
  12. Just saw the clip of Axl singing at L M Presleys funeral. Im not one to judge but it was absolutely awful.
  13. And even though it fell flat , Gorillaz bought quite a crew too that wasn’t a regular thing, right?
  14. Stevie Wonder bought us Michael Eavis first?
  15. I cant think I've ever paid more than about £80 - I think this years AM stadium gig is maybe the most so far. Happy to have ticked off some acts I'd want to see and may have cost me large - Stevie Wonder, Stones, Macca at Glastonbury. Like others, I got Blur summer tickets but at half price. I wouldn't have paid £100+. I used to go to more gigs on a whim, but now when old or bands I've seen before are towards £50 a pop I tend to not bother. I think the lockdown cured my FOMO.
  16. Just had an email about best mate of Paul Weller, Noel Gallaghers new album. Includes remixes by The Cure's Robert Smith.
  17. The Weller > Smith comments were odd given his current attitude to pretty much every other aspect of life. I guess there must be some deep beef gone down but it wasn’t a good look for sure.
  18. The Who Sunday was a great day . Zombies>Belle & Sebastian>Weller>The Who. I saw them when Entwhistle was alive and I thought they were better at the farm. I’ll never see them again , but more for Brexit Boy Daltry than Townsend - I think he was stupid but I don’t think he was getting off on nasty stuff.
  19. Yeah, I figured if they are stuck with a white rock male act they may as well have some fresh meat? And yeah, have them this year when I‘m not going.
  20. They aren’t my thing at all but on current hype it seems mad that Saturday night seems destined to be a semi heritage white rock act such as GnR, Foos or U2 when the 1975 could step up. I mean at least they are current and they certainly seem to have the chops to pull it off.
  21. And, Sharon is surely all about the money?
  22. Yeah, he'd be amazing (again).
  23. irrelevant view - AM - 100% Saw them there headline before and have seen them live elsewhere. Love the music and development of the sound. Bona fide top level contemporary act. GnR - 0% Always hated them and everything about them. They have only got worse and more of a parody. I genuinely turn off the radio should they ever come on when I'm listening. Reg - 75% I think he'd have made a good legends spot. I think hes a bit of an arse, but I get it, and if it goes well it'll be brilliant. Its a knife edge though ... For the love of god Emily - dump GnR and give someone a nudge up.
