    Blur

I saw a video of them going onstage to Dublin and Dave R was on crutches. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CuNdBVkg6UJ/?igshid=Y2IzZGU1MTFhOQ==

    2024 Headliners

The diversity of access to music is the barrier that will prevent standards seeping into public consciousness. Limited national radio and almost singular to music programmes meant everyone knew stuff. That’s just not the case anymore.
  3. Guilty as charged. That was deffo my thinking and happy to admit I was wrong. I only watched on TV but looked like it would have been great in the crowd, fair play.
  4. Johnny Marr is a regular too
  5. I think it’s possible that the situations between Duffy and also Denise Johnson may be complex and two sided , and also , Gillespie is a bit of a git.

    Beer Prices

£6.50 at the Forest Live gigs
  7. I didn't go for tickets this year. I'll miss the overall trip and experience and the random stuff but, for me, the line up means its an ok year to skip. I'm seeing Blur, Pulp and AM (the larger of the summer gigs) and have a bunch of smaller gigs to go to, so overall, I'm not too arsed.
  8. MK hasn't got anything new to be playing has he? Probs working on new stuff

    The churnups

Id imaginge Royal Blood are chuffed. Sandwiched between the Foos and AM will give them a stable 'rock/indie' crowd that will be there for the duration.

    The churnups

I saw FF's when they headlined and eventually wandered off as I was bored of all the faffing about. I reckon a tight set of hits, no guests, no messing about (well, just a little bit) would be great.
  11. Yes. Field wasnt really full as such. Very busy, of course.
  12. Consistant opinion on here that AM are dull live and also need to go on for longer. Only challenged by nearly everyone who has seen them live on this tour who claim they are smashing it.

    The churnups

Dave Rowntree said Blur didn't want to retread old ground, so whilst ruling out another Pyramid headline slot - an ad hoc set like this would fall into a 'new' thing. Size is comparible (sort of) to the warm up gigs they have been doing.
  14. Bristol last night - Mysterines - great set to a crowd that were arriving and most likely were not fully on board. Lead singer has the skills to perform and hold the crowd. Really enjoyed. The Hives - great fun . Ironic or actually naff showmanship? Dunno but good fun. Kicking the arse out of a long standing set for the most part but with enthusiasm. Arctic Monkeys- mostly a vintage set with three from the new album. Body Paint was superb. They smashed it.
  15. 3 from The Car tonight and 1 from Tranquilty The rest was older classics which went down a treat. Body Paint was epic.
  16. I had the original info , and I never said any venues at all. The info I had came from actual Jarvis direct , so it was reasonably genuine. .
  17. Another shout to The Lathums, in Bristol last night. Great small gig at the Fleece - such a positive vibe and Alex's voice is superb. Hope they get a spot on the farm.
  18. 4 x bay windows there is a shocker these days .... I reckon they could sell them off to city kids after the weekend so they can set up upmarket street food outlets next year! 🙂
  19. Just to agree with (mostly) everyone else, Id rather it stay as it is and shut the touts out. As frustrating as it can be not be able to go, and as genuine as reasons for change may be, at the end of the day its just a festival. Its a privilige to go, not a right.
  20. I went to see him a few years back after seeing The Smiths years ago (obvs.). I enjoyed the gig, but realised that I was ignoring his nasty opinions, so no chance I'd give him any of my cash now. Its a shame, as seeing some footage of him last year live, he can still perform ok (despite looking a state now when he whips off his shirt) - certainly a load better than fellow Mancunian contrarian Ian Brown who is absolutely dire. Stick with Johnny Marr is my advice.
  21. I went to that. Arrived a bit late and was stuck at the back as it was so rammed which was a shame, but a great little set. I think they've said they want to get back to Glastonbury, so hope they can.

    Blur

Phil Daniels essentially confirmed he'd be at the Wembley gigs.
  23. Saw forum favourites The Courteeners at RAH last night. Great set, great crowd, good fun. Bit gappy between tunes but no complaints other than the costs of a gig in town.
  24. Go and see Gabriels. they are a joy.
  25. Faithless were superb before Stevie. Have enjoyed Elbow, Fender and Noel G in that slot too. I also liked seeing Weller sub as part of a Zombies>Belle&Sebastian>Weller>Who afternoon out.
