There is a big difference between knowing and having press embargoed info though. Not saying everyone that claims to know has that, but there is info knocking about at the moment.

yup.

I won't ever consider leaking anything of an embargo'd release, but despite pleas from Boomtown I've used some of the leaked poster of theirs on boomtown line-up page.

(they're probably now mighty pissed off with me, but I could have been properly mean and used it all).

They should of sent out the embargo'd email to you! ha

But I do like the Boomtown press team, one of the best. Wouldn't dream of pissing them off

Anyway back on topic I hope Y Not sort out the smaller stages this year. Way too crowded. Need bigger tents, failing that a second "outdoor" stage. Interesting to see if Global/Broadwich make changes or keep the setup. Hope the beer tent stays!

they're not one of the best. They don't accept fair comment as reasonable, they only expect positive things to be said, which is as sad as it is stupid.

I could list the press teams I really dislike and why but thats unfair. Had nothing but good dealings with them. They are very enthusiastic and protective of Boomtown, so they should be.

Small stages were ridiculous - especially the Quarry. I think they're going to have to make it bigger if not an outdoor tent. I know of 2 bands whos set had to be cut short because people were getting crushed. DJ Fresh only played about 3 songs and he was the headline act on the first night.

Any idea on the capacity this year, is it going up?

Would make sense, they announced on Monday the 8th last year but then Truck was on the Thursday before, so really could be any time. Likely to be some point next week though,

Do we think the lineup will be mainly KC crossover headliners or with YNot having a new management company do you think they will be more exclusive?

I reckon Courteeners are in with a shout this year? I mean yeah they released their new album in October but with the OT gig in May and rumoured for Glastonbury I reckon it's possible as they'll be on the festival circuit this year again?

Slaves + Nothing But Thieves also. The Vaccines are headliners, not Clean Bandit; they're on the second tier ;)
