Had a nice suprise yesterday. Got a text in the afternoon reminding me that I had a ticket to see Dillon Moran. Had completely forgotten about this so was very unprepared. If i'd known I would have brought my DV camera o film it all. Apparantly York Opera house are fine with people using cameras, just not excessivley so could have probably got away with it.... This wasn't the case at boosh last week, My camera got confiscated and I had to pick it up fromt he front at the end :D I shall be recovering the video files though. Anyway, Dillon Moran, very very funny, he's pretty much the same as he is in Black Books.

Going to Liverpool on Saturday/Sunday to see a cute trainee doctor (tropical medicine) type girl I met at Download last year. She's lovely, very Christian though so not sure if it's a good idea persueing things. I know she's quite straight cut, but likes festivals, beer and lighting fires so I could partly fit in... Seriously thinking of starting to behave myself a bit more anyway as I'm watching my life go by and aren't doing the things that I want to do, the things that I could do. We had a bit of a thing going at download last year but got cut short because her mates were arguing and wanted to leave, not sure if it's been too long to pick things up again, will have to wait and see. Not sure how I'm going to cope with going out nad not smoking though.

Does anybody know any decent rock type places to go out in Liverpool? She's new in the area so hasn't been out yet..... Looking for a rock pub that has music but will prolly end up in the Crazy House later on.

What's everybody else up to for the weekend?

I'm going to the flicks with an ex next week.

I have stocked up on matches and lighter fluid.

Hmnnn, shocking... You've not thought this through properly.

Lighter fluid would burn off way too quickly, better to use soemthing like paraffin for a longer burn time. Surely a zippo lighter would be better for convenience and style too.

    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
