shame about survivor series but have to agree. the 8 man matches that were once the staple now mean f**k all. They used to intertwine it with storylines and it would work quite well as a means of pushing a story forward or creating a new rivalry, but i can't remember the last time one of those matches was even a number one contender match!

and imo, all those names other than king of the ring (which got dropped as the concept got stale, and the kings, well, weren't) are god awful.

So,last great Survivor Series due to the actual concept rather than say a title match which was spectacular or something?

The one with DX beating Randy Orton's team was cool but i think the last one which stands out in my mind was years ago during the whole 'Invasion' story line!

It was two ring matches

two rings side by side, with a cage surrounding them, two teams and ecah team would start off one on one and then add members as the match went on.

Towards the end of WCW, they had three team matches WCW v nWo Hollywood v nWo Wolfpak, with 3 members per team

Theres lots they could do with it, especially if they used the history of it, but I think they've missed the boat to be honest, should have done the concept a long time ago, Elimantion chamber has surpassed it.

Shame about Survivor Series, ther's been some amazing matches in the past, loved the one where Hogan and Warrior won the final match in 90.

They should do a Chamber Of Horrors match like they had at Halloween Havoc once, hillarious really if anyone remembers it. :P

Shit quality.

Can I just say that Smackdown was awesome last night. Big Dave was great again and got tremendous heat, Drew is getting better (although still pretty green), Mickie's breasts are phenominal, a million dollar video package, Edge is more over than ever, Jerricho is going to be a great transitional champion leding into WM, and Taker... well he's old but still has it.

The best bit though... CM Punk. My god he's phenominal, and easily has the best gimmick in the industry at the moment. And even better, he's managed to do it with two nobodies. Gallows laying Rey on Punk's crucafix arms was tremendous.

Watch it... best wrestling show this week by a long way.

So I was out on the piss last night, got in at about 230 and switched on Raw...

And it was one of those time I was ashamed and embarrased to be a wrestling fan. The Jerry Springer segment was SO f**kING AWFUL. This was up there with the worst that TNA has ever done. It was that bad.

Missed the Bret Hart stuff and from the sounds of things I'm glad I did.

Raw= Fail.

I didn't watch Against All Odds, it was a nothing PPV to be honest im sure some of the matches were decent, but poor build up.

I ddn't have time to try and stream it online for hours yesterday when the Download announcement was happening!

Im guessing the Bret thing was done so that he's gunna just be a corner man for Cena at Mania agaisnt Batista. Which is just meh to be honest.

Mania is looking to be a very oridnary card.

So TNA have announced Impact will be moving to Monday nights from March 8th [live every other week, other week taped, like Raw used to do]

and the March 8th Main Event....

Hulk Hogan and Abyss v AJ Styles and Ric Flair!

although the in ring work will probably be dire, it should be fun to watch. Ive read the tapings for the next two weeks and the promos seem ace.

wonder what Raw will put uop against it? HHH v Sheamus in either an arm wrestling match, posedown or contract signing???
