edge was awful at promos in those days, come on leaps and bounds since then mind.

And road dogg and billy gunn epitomise what a tag team should be. Individually nothing to shout about (although i do remember them both having title reigns at the same time, and then billy gunn's main event status which lasted all of one month till he jobbed to the rock). But as a tag team they covered up each other's weaknesses incredibly well, and could cut a decent promo.

oh he was great with christian, as part of a duo. But on his own, i really felt his promos were weak and the reason he'd never be main event. Now though, he's one of the top heels in the company and is a genuine main eventer. Only shitter is that it's obvious he'll be coming back face to have a feud with jericho.

Some good chat on here for once

I like talking about the old days, The New Age Outlaws were a fantastic tag team, but they were awful in singles, but what made the Outlaws good was the teams they had to face, Foley and Funk put them over and then the division just exploded with the Duds, E&C, APA, Hardys

The WWE hasn't had a deceny tag team divison for nearly a decade.

I can't understand why they can't be arsed with it

Thats how you do it TNA, thats how you do it

Excellent Main Event, and the rest of the PPV was very solid too, I recommend either a download or watch it on Bravo 2 on Weds night

Main Event was quality, Lashley v Rhino was pretty damn good, lots of power moves mainly but was solid, the steel cage 4 v 4 was good, Joe v Daniels was strong, womens tag titles was great, falls count anywhere Suicide v The pope was a great brawl, shame about ODB v Cody, if it was for that the PPV would be one of the best all year

High hopes for Bound For Glory next month. TNA is great TV at the moment

I just read WWE have offered Kanye West $10 million to wrestle at a PPV and do some promo work for it [Floyd Maywether deal basically]

Hmmm If this happens they need to do it ASAP whilst everyone is taking the piss, cus if they save it until next years Mania it won't do as well in the buyrates IMO

Just watching Smackdown's 10th anniversary, good stuff so far, just seen a pre-recorded message from the Rock and I quote "The Jabroni beating, pie eating, has no peer, has no flaw, now that he's tried Smackdown - MAYBE IT'S TIME THE ROCK GUEST HOSTS RAW!" Woah. If that's happening that's the most awesome thing to happen to Raw in f*cking ages.

There was a nice video package for Eddie Guerrero too (what's everyone's opinion on the denial that Chris Benoit ever existed btw?)

Also Stone Cold will be on Soccer AM tomorrow (erm today)

P.S. it's 3.30am, of course I'm pissed.

Edit: Can you send off for your own Bella twin, because I want one (or two)

Saw Soccer AM, Austin was great on it, comes across as a really nice guy, anyone see when they dressed someone from the crew as him, that was so funny!

Smackdown is on sky 1 in half an hour, might check it out, Ive set it to record anyway, even if I do watch the footie over it

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
