One thing that intrigues me is, people will actually watch Maximo Park whilst Pearl Jam are playing, i just dont understand it!

Same with at download, whilst Tool were on, i knew some people would be watching the all american rejects.....i guess some people are just weird.

A "a portion" of approx. 1/72nd of the profits made from something that plenty of bands have done for free (at the same quality) given to charity doesn't quite disguise the fact that PJ's "official bootlegs" are a shameless profiteering exercise with a facade of "we're doing this for the good of the people wooooo!". It's OK, you can admit it, they probably aren't reading!

It appears that they do a lot for good causes (Crones disease etc.), but your point only extends to what we were actually talking about if your definition of good causes includes a beachhouse for Mr. Vedder.

    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
    • But I think the point of that Dan Needle tax thing...we need to put up income tax, for all incomes (and thresholds should be unfrozen).
    • There are no easy answers...more than anything we need growth...and probably main ways of getting that is borrowing more to invest in stuff that makes us super sexy, and/or cut taxes on business and wealth generation which would mean less money to spend on public services and welfare and would obviously be super unpopular and get you chucked out of govt. On top of all that got an aging population, a growing welfare bill, a call for higher spending on defence, housing inequality, higher borrowing costs, and probably a load more sh*t on the way due to the Iran war (although so far it hasn't been that bad?)
    • A couple of OR's crew and band have posted Barcelona pics.   HYYPPPEEEEE
    • That's what I was thinking, but with GC ticket sales looking good atm, I cant imagine download would pull off a blink, avril, GC top 3... when has this forum ever pulled off a prediction like that anyway, it won't happen will it 😂
