well, i was 5'9 and looked about 14, so most people didnt realise i was that young, but it was more, standing near towards the back of the middle of the crowd, and watching, maybe seeing one or two bands up close, but i was there which is all that counts  i also met lostprophets, which is one of the only things i remember, as well as hundred reasons, who i worshipped, and were first band i saw at reading.. and my dad singing green day drunkenly

he's cool enough that he bought a ticket this year in the presale, then admitted he wouldn't go, but instead of selling it, he's making my entire family come up to reading, so if my sister (whos 11) wants to see any bands she can get in for free with him (for being under 12) and my mum can take the wristband and go and see bands if she wants, i'll find that pic of me at first reading, was only about 10 minutes after arriving.

Saw on a website last night that PJ played their version of 'its ok' last on 22/07/06, fingers crossed they might play it at CW (or if they don't in Paris so I get to hear it!).

There is a great video of it on youtube, at a beach gig, Eddie Vedder singing with the lyrics on paper, and he still made it sound awesome!

Just found this video of Light Years from Pinkpop 2000. As someone who's experienced loss of life a few times, personally this is one of the most touching songs on the subject. When people die their light still shines through the people they touched.

Your light's reflected now.

Reflected from afar.

We were but stones.

Your light made us stars.

On a sidenote, how under rated is Binaural as an album? It's probably the one I've listened to most over the past few years. Would have been even better with Sad on it.

I had a dream about Pearl Jam last night. ;)

Me and Ollie were at some random small festival watching PJ and afterwards had a nice chat with the band, then the bass player gave Ollie his guitar. All very odd.......

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
