That doesn't mention anything about touring in June.

Just a generic 'hope to see again you in future' that is utterly meaningless.

I mean, the kind of thing we've all said it to someone we met at a party...

Well, none of the other artists mentioned have announced a tour for next June...

What about the return of The National.

Announced a date in Oct, first live show since 2024

I don't think they would be back without a new album.

Didn't stop them from playing the festival in 2022.

That's true, but the were supposed to play in 2020 after releasing I Am Easy to Find in 2019. Then covid happened and in the end they played in 2022.

What they are doing in october it's just a few special things in different cities around the Basque Country with some of their friends and collaborators, Bryce Dessner lives and works there.

It all seems more like a one-off thing. I don't think it implies them touring again.

    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
