Such a shame to see this BS, academic vanity project returning, seemingly just to shoehorn in the likes of 'friend of the festival' Robin Ince or Maggie Aderin. I’d much rather see this kind of thing kept within a museums or science outreach forum, with the money and space at Latitude better invested in the arts and music instead. I’d far prefer they brought back the Cabaret of Film tent before this crap, or put the money towards a higher calibre of artist on the line up. Here’s hoping for some strong music additions in the next announcement.

Looks they went a bit haywire with the 2 announcements today, Jacob Alon is looking to be a big rising star this year though so seems a good name to have on the bill 

It seems they may be doing more individual announcements this time for acts/stages so maybe we'll get some more next week too

I see John Grant is playing a gig in London in July, so I could see him joining the line up. He was actually a new discovery for me at Latitude around 15 years ago and was great.

Its what you'd expect but there's probably going to be more names as the month goes on - it seems they're doing smaller announcements as opposed to big ones all at once but there's still a fair chunk of the Sunrise to be announced and full Alcove names too. Also a few Obelisk and tent names too

Reckon we might see something a day or two after the Green Man announcement. Think Latitude generally do that but less relevant now Green Man is sold out anyway.

I hate this drip feed of information that they've got into over the last few years. Obviously must work from a marketing and ticket sales perspective, but personally pisses me off.

Seems like Fridays are their days for any sort of announcement so probably worth keeping an eye over the next few weeks for what's added

Faithless are playing Reading on the Thursday and Bristol on the Friday so they are a possibility for Sat/Sun.

Some good additions. I haven't seen fabio and grooverider for... about 26 years. 

Didn't know temples were still going! 

Check out man/ woman/ chainsaw they are really good,  saw them a couple of times last year.

More details on the day splits here but as a whole this is actually shaping up to be a much better year for me than the last few. My current planned headline trio of David Byrne, Getdown Services and Flaming Lips is probably my favourite of the recent editions 

Still a few more additions it would seem (I wonder if the gaps on the Obelisk between subs and undercard are the extra acts) but shaping up for a great weekend! 

 

Its definitely been interesting on social media seeing long term attendees being happier with this but people who've only attended since Covid being disappointed. It definitely seems to be people who got tickets as part of the loyalty scheme are the least happy, but surely thats the risk you take
