Worthy View - Parking Issues

I’ve never known WV parking sell out 

Sticklinch yes but not WV 

 

I’ve camped WV 6 times and it’s never sold out - my spare sold in a minute! 

 

Does anyone have any inside

knowledge as to why?

 

I’m starting to fear they have increased the amount of tents , which will not only overload showers/toilets but leave even less space outside of the tents

Well I've lost my car park ticket so I'm screwed. Have just emailed the festival to see if they can do anything. I bought one on arrival in 2023 but according to the website that's not possible anymore!

What makes you think anything is different from previous years?

I had a spare pass as I bought two but travel plans changed 

 

When I offered it for sale I didn’t realise it was sold out, me have been inundated with requests for it 

 

I’ve stayed at WV many times and you’ve always been able to get a car park pass , and pay on the gate if needed

I agree, it’s a very strange system this year. The map looks the same size as before so I don’t think they’ve sold more tents.
 

The official advice is to buy a regular car park pass, then either walk across the site to WV (good luck carrying all your stuff for miles then up that hill!!), or get the shuttle bus from Gate A. The logistics simply don’t work. Not sure what genius came up with that…

Yes I seen that advice - horrendous trek in any weather! 
 

My concern is the site plot area hasn’t shrunk, but have they squeezed more tents onto the land , without increasing the facilities 

 

I just wondered if anyone working WV,

is also a member here and is able to answer/shed some light

I think they halved the parking and gave some of that field to another Glamping company?

The passes do sometimes sell out eventually after the resales.

 

But a full car park doesnt mean more tents... it just means a full car park haha

The aerial shots and the map shows exactly the same. Either way though the queues for the showers are going to be awful haha

Doesn’t look like it from the map. It’s the same footprint as previous years.

I always thought they looked pretty highly packed in as it is. Surely not more into there considering what folk are paying

No that was Sticklinch- most of the previous car parks now Holt Farm. Loads of people booking Sticklinch also wanting car park passes too!

It's probably a case of same number of tents but a mixture of more people driving with less passengers (so more cars) and people with coach tickets who drive down the day before with a car full of stuff, park up, get a lift back to their coach departure point and take the coach back down the next day.

Thanks. That's the plan. In a turn of incredibly bad luck the people we are going with accidentally bought general parking instead of worthy view, so they are hoping they can get in too. Nightmare.

I had my welcome email today and they really are driving home the message of no passes available at the gate.

I would email the Worthy View team, attach a proof of purchase of the WV car pass, and ask them if they will allow you to park. Explain the situation and that you’ve contacted See but had no response. Still hoping the house pixies return your “lost” pass!
