Agree @sheffinghell the management of particularly The Leadmill tent was poor.  Seemingly can't get in and then push through and space in the middle.

Favourite sets were The Reytons who smashed it despite me not being a fan, The K's, Red Rum Club, Pulp despite a lot of chattering when playing the new stuff, musically The Lathams and surprise of the weekend Scouting for Girls.

Worst set was The Sherlocks who have gone that far backwards its untrue.  So dreary.

Leadmill tent needed to be fully open on 3 sides, like the similar sized one at Y Not. Or a bigger tent to meet the needs of a much larger crowd than they usually have.

Enjoyed the festival this year, but agree with above. Leadmill stage needs to be bigger/open, we went for The Clause and were shouted at for pushing through the crowd outside only to get in and have a load of space.
Ended up skipping a lot of what was on in there just because it’s so inaccessible. Also doesn’t help that there isn’t any counter programming when leadmill stage is on.

Franz Ferdinand were probably my highlight of the weekend, though really enjoyed Kasabian, even if it was a really short set compared to the time they had allocated.

The scheduling is a bit all over the place in my opinion, there were times when just one act one and then times when four were on.

Yes, the scheduling was the worst I've seen it. Massive gaps between the bands on the main stage as well, sometimes up to an hour changeover.

Wonder who could potentially headline next year as this years will take some beating.

Loads of mugs that’s who done it

Cracking answer !! Very helpful.

My wife has a parathyroid deficiency after having her thyroid removed a few years ago so gets tired very quickly, to the point she can crash,  as her body doesn't produce calcium properly, so needs to rest a lot between sets.

We've always done festivals since we met in 2003, and she was only diagnosed with Graves disease in 2019, and from 2020-2023 she couldnt even drink at them, but hey ho, if you saw her in there at a bench she's just a mug to you.

Firstly bit of a harsh response with @therefused not knowing your situation.

On the face of it £130 on top of the already inflated VIP section seems steep for a cordoned off area, a bit of a stand, 2 food stalls and toilets - and think thats where the reply came from.

Personally this or the VIP has never been for me as I spend too much time watching bands.  VIP is probably a good option for those who like a wander and chill and not too bothered about seeing lots of bands.

Obviously with your scenario probably more worthwhile.  Have you been in touch with the Access Team previously as you could probably make use of the stand next to the 'Fancy' bit.

This year was our 4th tramlines , we’ve always done VIP and have loved it, only festival we’ve ever done VIP at.

The wife and some others in our group just like the idea of having that chill spot closer to the stage , so think we are going to give it a go for tickets on Friday.

We didn’t come in that early this year any of the days, I’m old enough to just go with the flow of the group now, but all have said if we got that they’d go in early and chill no matter who was on, which is a bonus for me

We went to the fringe for the 1st time this year on the Sunday, absolutely loved it, so think that’s why some of our group are keen on some seating close to the stage 🤣

I mean fair enough pal, it wasn’t a dig at you but more the festival. Adding another (ridiculously priced) VIP section on top of there existing VIP section is a joke in my opinion

Thanks buddy. Agree in some ways, its ridiculous to have two separate VIP areas, but I've been voted down by the group so think were doing it next year.

Paying it over the payment plan doesnt make it feel to ridiculous either, plus its still cheaper than some other festivals normal weekend tickets.
