Had this bad a couple of nights ago watching Arcade Fire in Brixton - people only seemed to be there for two songs. Literally couldn’t hear some of the quieter, stripped down songs as finance bros too busy chatting sh*t.

My Dad won’t go to the Pilton Party again because of the talkers, said he was surrounded by groups having a picnic and not listening to the acts

I just wear earplugs all day. If i can clearly here you talk over an act Im watching then theres an issue. But I bet the audience shift this year greatly contributed to it being worse for you that went. And I mean if the pa's were simply louder than you wouldnt have as many issues I would imagine. I dont know how I could bear to listen to an act up on the hill in the Park cause theres likely loads of talkers. Just would feel like a picnic

Some c**ts at the start Heilung wouldn't shut their traps... we did all shush them eventually. They were likely there waiting for Jungle, but what the f**k.

 

Worst thing you can do is stew in your own head about it. Confront them right away and/or move elsewhere.

Agree with confronting. I told 2 loud yappers to shut up during Black Country New Road last night. They snapped at me and then walked off, only returning before Nick came on and were silent throughout

talkers suck - I tend to say something too.  
i find it worse at gigs that are free in.  here in nyc, there are a ton of free gigs in central park and prospect park during the summer, and I think folks just figure that if they haven't paid in, then somehow their actions don't matter as much.
