Helloooooo waving.gif Very long-time user and historically active poster round here but probably my first login/post in some 10+ years due to rather sadly concluding my Glasto days were over after the most excellent 2010 😞 Must admit to occasional but very regular periods of quietly lurking mind you !

Anyways, just had to login to change my e-mail address so while I'm here, I thought it would be jolly rude not to add a cheeky piccy to a *VERY* familiar old thread ...

... and also add a quick note for anyone still using Ye Olde Glasto Countdown Timer from donkey's years ago.

Despite my lack of attendance it still exists and still gets no shortage of regular visits from all over the place BUT there's a subtly different and permanent change of URL. All of the old URLs going back to 2004 or thereabouts get redirected to the current timer at the new URL, for now, but at some point in time the plug will inevitably get pulled and they'll all just #404. So, if anyone still wants to make use of it, please update your links/bookmarks/whatever to the shiny new URL above 🙂

Same thing goes for any links anyone may have to any of my other stuff from donkey's years ago (efests badges, Glasto Maps, Q Daily pdfs etc) you'll need to update the URLs with the new domain/host before all of the old URLs and everything on the old host disappears for good.

Have a good one in June all you lucky, lucky, lucky people ... and do have a cheeky extra pint at the Cider Bus, Brothers Bar, Avalon Inn, Bimble Inn (and anywhere else you stumble across !) for me 😛

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
