The 1975

Guaranteed that the Healing Fields have various antivax folks who set up shop alongside the other pseudoscience people, so I could still see an M.I.A. getting booked if she makes a comeback record.

Grimes has no interest in playing live concerts anymore, so that's a nonstarter anyway.

For sure, there’s a homeopathy stall for starters.

Can’t really see anyone getting turned down/ignored for being anti vax. Glastonbury ain’t as into cancelling artists as some may think/hope.

Yeah, not out as far as I know. But was using it to illustrate the point that not too many sit at the top of the rumour mill for this long and then drop out without good reason, if that makes sense.

I'm about seventy-five percent certain they're in. The issue is simply down to whether Glastonbury feel Healy's behaviour is ultimately prohibitive to the position of Glastonbury headliner.

Surely someone not being booked or being dropped would be down to a full public cancellation, like it's completely socially unacceptable to buy a ticket for their gig if they toured.

If they announced a big gig tomorrow it'd sell out.

I think some of the purity expectations here aren't quite what the wider world's view is

I guess the question is that - given it, maybe outside of the Legends Slot, carries the biggest public profile - the festival could be stricter on infringements.

Ultimately, I hope they do get the nod - great live band, with great tunes for me. But I'm not blind to the criticisms they have faced too.

It's probably the only festival that would given it's political and social leanings.

I'm well up for seeing them again if they get announced!

I've only been listening the The 1975 the last few months. They're a lot better than I was expecting. I think I disregarded them because of how grating their first album was when it came out whilst I was at sixth form.

Their albums after that are actually really great, songs about real world emotional things without ever been depressing and a lot of funny/clever lyrics.

You'll be fortunate to get Heart Out, if that's your favourite.

Headliners will almost certainly drop with the poster so - if it is them - then possibly Thursday, per the info we've had.

Genuinely don't think there would be too much change to the R+L '22 headline show as a setlist. That's about as hits-y as they've got so far. Bin off Tonight (I Wish I Was Your Boy) for About You and that genuinely might be the set. (If there's a new record, you probably lose something else to tease instead, and there's an argument TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME doesn't make the cut either.)

Would be happy to leave I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes) by the way - even as a fan of their music, it is a poor man's Fake Plastic Trees.

Woah! Can’t be leaving that out! Such a good song, but opinions & all that.
As long as they find a way to include Ballad of me & my brain I’ll be happy!

That's an even harder shout for a no. (And I say that despite it being a great little tune.)

I can see the "Real World" version of I Like America and America Likes Me featuring at the midpoint, and if they really want to dig deep for the fans, Medicine too. But if a fourth track comes from the debut, I'd assume it's The City or Girls.

We are expecting the 1975 to be announced tomorrow? It will break my heart if they announce someone else

They play sometimes. This would be a once off special Glastonbury show so it could make an appearance

It could, but you've got to look at the other songs that could be possible too. Heart Out, I'd estimate, is probably outside the first twenty-five songs they'd consider for a set that will likely be twenty at maximum. (Unless they get the full two hours, of course.)
