Hmm sad, this used to be a good site, when I registered 18 years ago, it now feels like a Glastonbury festival site.

Bàaaaaaaaa

Glastonbury is bigger, sooner and the vast majority of the regs either have been there or go every time.

The resale for that only recently finished, so folk are excitedly discussing and planning, but I'm sure some of them do beautiful days too.

Personally speaking, I reckon that just asking generically for "some tips" doesn't really encourage answers.

Give people an aspect of the festival to think about, and something might come to mind quicker.

Here's a tip, get in training. The hills are a bastard.

Another Glastonbury regular, the Tiny Tea Tent, is at the top of the hill in arena camping. @Quark will testify to it being a nice spot to go and chill out, although the toilets there last time were 💩 - as addressed in another thread, hopefully they'll be a lot better next time.

It's also generally pretty easy to see the headliner in the Big Top then make it over to see the main stage headliner and slide into a pretty decent spot. The distances are small and the crowd won't be tightly packed like Glastonbury. Watch you don't trip on the over 9000 camping chairs in the crowd crust mind.

Third thing - the only time you'll need to get to anything early is if you want to see one of the bigger acts in the circus tent. Last time around we couldn't get into the Circus of Horrors. There was a massive queue of people being turned away, and this was 20 minutes before it started.

100%. I'm almost evangelical about that place 😄

Not done a full camping festival for quite a few years, the lineup this year for Beautiful days is too good to resist, so we got tickets. Will be arriving by car.

Looking for some tips tips from previous attendees to this specific festival.   Thanks.

So what sort of tips are you after?  There's potentially a lot to get through!

I'm guessing they're after things like:

  • Best place to camp.
  • Which bars open when and what entertainment is in them.
  • Best things to do outside bands on the main stages.

In terms of camping, we were in our van last year and the facilities were generally good. The toilets obviously weren't, but we were parked up near showers which were really good quality with excellent water pressure and temperature, and never a queue at the times we tried to use them (early AM as we had our then less than 1 year old daughter with us). The sani disposal filled up quite quickly, but new containers were put out fairly sharpish. The full ones were left in situ though which was a bit 😷🙈
We were parked quite close to the gate, but no pitches were particularly far from one.

Given @mgillespie said they're coming by car, none of that is really relevant though...!
