I’d be surprised to see Johnson stick with Hunt, they don’t seem very fond of each other.

So where are these numbers then? If there’s 100 MPs backing Boris why aren’t they yet?

I don’t think there’s much in the fact that only 50 odd have come out publicly. It’s a secret ballot so they’ll just keep it private. Plus it’s all games anyway so there’ll be tactics to it.

It's not about vanity it's an attempted con. If Boris makes it to the members he'll win his main barrier is getting the nominations, so if you are a snivelling careerist Tory who wants to back the winner to get a better job you want to back Boris if he's going to get his 100 anyway otherwise your team Rishi. So Johnson is lying about having the numbers in an attempt to squeeze out a few more votes.

i agree with you, he'll be telling peeps he'll save them their seats.

So will today be the day we see the coronation of Rishi Sunak as our next PM? It’s such a good democratic system we have where rich Tories can just keep appointing our leader.

There’s only one decision from the past few years that cannot be overturned under any circumstances.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
