How long should it be before a headliner returns?

How long do you think it should be? I think I would settle for 4 years - definitely no Fall out Boy rubbish with a 2 year gap! If an act had a massive rise though I could tolerate 3 (or i like them lol)

4 years and at least one new album.

3 years minimum. Otherwise the festival will have to boost up some acts that don’t really deserve it.

I think it really depends on the nature of the act and the hype around them. Fob in 2018 was an atrocious booking regardless of them playing two years prior (billed as co-head and yes I k ke biffy closed both sites). ‘Legacy’ acts like foos,am,muse I think should be 4 years at the absolute minimum but if someone suddenly blows up I think 3 years would be okay if the popularity and demand was there.
