We should all do this for Neil, put in couple of quid each and get him a ticket for his and his lovely missus. All proceeds to charity, everyone wins. What a great way to contribute to charity and get the gaffer a ticket to the festival

What do we think?

I'd be game but it would be a nightmare to organise. Wouldn't it? I thought that Neil wanted the guarantee of campervan tickets to attend Glastonbury this year? That wouldn't come with the auction package.

I wonder if the 'Use of the Glastonbury Festival meeting room for four hours' includes a ticket haha. Would be funny if somebody won the bid and made their way down to Somerset only to be there for four hours in a  room with 6 chairs and a table and then get asked to leave.

We've got time to sort it. We need to be able to pay into the e-festivals bank account, not sure If Neil would give us the details. Then us lot put their donations into it. Neil then tallies up how much has been donated into it and bids this in the auction, which hopefully will be a successful bid. If it isn't then he donates that money to Oxfam anyway

Not sure about the campervan thing, I cant believe it would be an issue

Unfortunately the campervan thing is an issue and is mentioned on this thread;

That said, he / his wife might have had a change of heart. Don't know.

It's OK as I knew that I had no chance. Just thought I'd make the laughing culprit cough up more money to charity.

Wasn't the DJ ones was it Yog? I topped that one for all of 11 minutes - surprised it lasted that long :lol:

Already well and truly left in the dust.

Cool , I'll see what funds are available, I could also do a speed garage set for the ladies.

I am partial to a bit of speed garage type stuff. Love all the Neil Rumney Trotters stuff.

It wasn't musky. I opted for the 2 tickets plus the Greenfields experience. I put in £255 and held it for a while. It's now over £1K. As you say, well and truly left in the dust.  lol  :)

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
