Jungle

Getting worried about evening clashes already so seeing that Jungle won't be on past, say, 6pm is lovely news. They also rely much less on darkness for a good show than a lot of others on the line-up (Flying Lotus, FKA Twigs, Jon Hopkins..). Great news.

Yeah hadn't appreciated this before. It looks like Jungle could very be the first live act I see at Glastonbury which I wouldn't mind at all.

As I haven't got a Friday headliner, it looks likely I'll be delving into a genre I don't usually listen to. I typically never listen to dance, but maybe Jungle are gonna be my best bet. What albums or songs should I listen to, to know some of what they're likely to play? Plus, is it likely to be a live performance, or is it like a DJ set?

Definitely a live set

Their latest album is ace! Back on '74 is a banger, been listening to it today in the sunshine.

Honestly all 4 albums are great.  The current record is very accessible and I'd expect at least half the songs they play will be from it.  Their live performances are really tight.  When they last played West Holts was absolutely chocka on a fantastically sunny glastonbury evening that was the perfect setting for them.

They've only got 4 albums, I'd recommend all of them! The most recent two are my favourites though, and I imagine most of what they play will be from them. They're not really a dance act though, more funk/soul.
