Short Questionnaire for Dissertation

Gave up when I saw the spelling mistake in question 4.

If you can't even be bothered to present your work in a way that displays a modicum of pride then why should we be bothered to complete the questionnaire?

Haha! I'm marking some coursework at the moment (or meant to be anyway)... I think some of it would make you very very angry indeed!

Ha school work is one thing, but at degree level you should know better! Especially if you're displaying it to the whole world.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!!! Why would you post and moan over ONE missing letter!!!!

Just be kind and complete the survey......

Because it's lazy and careless not to bother checking your spelling is correct before submitting a piece of work.

They should thank me.

Scale

Clearly a typo, and I would hardly say that missing one letter means I am not taking pride in my work. You orangutan.

If I see a spelling mistake in a piece of work that is presented to me then I assume if they have been careless in the simple task of spelling a word, then it is highly probable that there will be mistakes in the more technical aspects of the report too.

If you can't be bothered to proof read or even run a spell check, then it stands to reason you have been lazy elsewhere also.

Rather than making excuses and lashing out at me like a scolded child, why not take responsibility for your actions and be grateful people have taken the time to read your work and offer advice.

A spelling mistake shows a lazy attitude, a lack of care and yes, a lack of pride.

If you don't even care about your own work, then you can be damn sure other people won't either.

I completed one very good survey, out of the dozens posted here by EFest newbies, that led to an e-mail response today with some quite good follow up questions.

Some people do seem to do a fair bit of work for their dissertations but some I despair of - especially when they say they are going into Event Management, a discipline that actually requires a lot of attention to detail

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
