modey
Quick question, are tents allowed to be pitched next to a campervan, I'm sure I've seen them there before when I've been.
alexwetherell
Yeah, you can have one tent per caravan (officially) but as long as you don't take the piss you can easily have a couple more
modey
Ok thanks, it'll only be one tent anyway
BeddyDriver
Im bloody hoping they clamp down on the tents in the camper van fields this year....Was bloody chaos in some sections of the field last year with people building tent cities around one little transporter type van. Reminiscent of some of the morons taping off their "tent cities" in the camping fields.Had to walk bloody miles round carrying water carriers at some points cos of this as you couldnt get between the vans, and makes a mockery of the fire lane thing....grrrrrr rant over...ps I have no problem with people having tents in the field, but last year there were more tents than bloody camper vans !! (i think its in one of those tents...) in fairness, we had 1 caravan, 1 campervan and 3 tents (with a 4th across the way)
BeddyDriver
haha, as long as you didnt scowl at me for trying to get between your vans and tents with my water thats fine...It just appeared last year there were some people with huge numbers of tents, with just one small van in between them...Dont think you were unreasonable at 1and 1/2 tents per camper/ caravan... Stewarding in the East appeared poor last year, they just dint seem to know how to organise lines of vans, and it was a bit of a free for all with people ignoring stewards, and driving into spaces wherever they could... Later that evening fire marshalls made us move them as it was a fire lane... if i see someone grumpy weaving between tents and vans , muttering and cursing and dragging water... i will offer them one of my finest beers.. Sounds about right, Ill make sure im in a grumpy mood when i pass.....just to get the beer The head steward was umming and ahhhng about making me move my van last year due to access...I however had drunk way too much at that point and argued that even a blindfolded fireman could have driven his engine down the gap in front and behind my van sideways I politely told her she should probably me more worried about the complete blockages in the next field, and she promptly drove off in her landrover and did nothing... dirtymookie
Quick question, if I take my mates tent and bags in my campervan will they be able to gain access to the campervan fields and kip next to my van with general access tickets? They will probably be coming by coach.

All they'll have to do is walk to the gate closest to your Campervan Field (Gate C for East) and find your caravan. They'll need to show their ticket when they leave the festival and be given a pass out which you'll need to get back through security to get into the festival. Simple answer, yes it won't be a problem. Just make sure you don't lose your tickets and pass out's as you will need these each time you want to re-enter the festival each day. Neville Street
Did exactly this 2 years ago, mates came on coach, I took their bulky stuff in camper. They pitched next to me. Fun times!
ChrisTGA
I camped next to a caravan last year which my mate and his family were in. Bit of a walk and quite quiet but decent spot to camp. P.s Dig the profile picture. Raiseeeeeeee a drink a drink a drink...

Put all my heavy kit in their van.....went into festival via gate A, got my wristband etc there and walked through to Gate C, got pass out and straight to their camper. When I got there they had already pitched my tent for me and handed me a cold cider. Perfect.
