No Interpol would never headline. Looking at the Frequency poster, for now they are sub-size. But then again, Sziget is a bigger festival than Frequency so they could play 3rd down if the day is strong (or the headliner is weak therefore the sub will be stronger).

Martin Garrix is low on their poster. I hope we will have a big headliner before him on the sunday.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sziget Festival Polska posted "Póki co znamy ledwie niecałe 20% programu tegorocznego Sziget… ale jutro będziemy mądrzejsi " which roughly translates to "While we know hardly less than 20% of this year's Sziget ... but tomorrow we will be wiser".

But Sziget official didn't post anything.

Sziget Festival official page on Facebook: a fan asked when we'll get new names.. and sziget official answered: next week.

Seems like we'll share with pukkelpop an artist who wants to announce european shows only next week.

Kanye? Blur?

That's great! ut Pukkelpop only announces on the 25th not next week.

Yeah but honestly I think that when they're saying "next week" they mean the week starting Monday the 23rd.. But this is just the way I think :) I've always been confused about these things ahahah

Hi, I'm still waiting for the lineup of course but still want to ask

sorry if it's already been asked...

did anyone try the "flexhotel" last year? how is it?

is it worth the price or it's better to search an hotel? (I don't want to camp)

any chance for Robert Plant?? he does festivals last year and this year as well

and he's playing at Munich and France on the 11/12.8...

    • Sure enough I did finish the Brosnan Bonds. Goldeneye is good but I think might be overrated by some Bond mega-fans, The World Is Not Enough is ok but nothing more than that and Die Another Day is just wild. I didn't hate Die Another Day like some have but its basically a wacky sci-fi film with Bond movie clothes.
    • Monaco comes across to me as something that's great for just watching people driving around, especially this year as it feels like this is a track where they can actually push compared to other circuits where superclipping ruins it, but where the cars seem to have outgrown it.   Though tbf Formula E has had decent Monaco races recently so maybe its a sign of car development philosophy being a factor.
    • Feel like a lot of people do just sit around by the stage at a festival waiting for one act anyway, no? I know Swift has a big mega-fandom - she wouldn't have done so many Wembley shows last year if she didn't - but it's not like she'd be unique in playing a festival and drawing a crowd on that specific day just for her.   But then tbf I feel like there'd be a few happy just to mosy around the rest of the site until maybe 2/3 acts beforehand.
    • Pretty good imo. Though I'm aware my position of being a big fan means I'm biased.   Reminds me a little of Justice, which shouldn't be that much of a surprise given I've heard Justice played a lot in Muse's pre-show playlists over the years.
