Free fone charging at tim peaks?

Does anyone know what the crack is with the charge-o-matic free phone charging thingy that Tim Burgess tweeted about earlier today?

Don't know about that, but I bought one of these apparently can charge your phone 7 Times off it and it has 4 usb ports so can charge 4 at a time. One of my mate's got for Glasto and said it did the trick and by his last day he still had power left on it, so was lending it out to strangers.

I can second that it's really good BUT make sure you check the voltage on your charger. The iphone is 1v and has to go into slot 2. If you plug it into slot 3 or 4 it'll short out the charger and the only way to bring it back is plugging it into the wall again. I know this from experience at Glastonbury!!

I've got a similar one and it's a godsend, long gone are the fateful days of slipping an aa battery into some contraption to charge your battery to 10% or looking hopefully at the sky hoping the solar charger may be some use

Thanks guys, just looked at the Emperor's pre flight info and we get free charging. Also Tim peaks WILL be offering a free charging service.

My mate was charging his in his car a couple of years ago and drained the battery Had to get the AA out to sort him out. The dozy bleeder.

Theres normally one of them pay ones as well although think it cost a tenner.

Just taking my old Blackberry, 2 spare batteries should last Thursday-Sunday, I'll barely be using it really.
