CHVRCHES

I love Chvrches seen them 4 times on different headline shows and enjoyed them every time, Like you say Martin is not a singer at all and should stick to what he's good at, His dancing is horrendous its like his legs are independent from his body, I just think he is trying to make up for Laurens lack of confidence which is growing by every show they do. Lauren makes up for it with the rapport she has with the crowd during breaks between songs by cracking of a joke or two.

Yeah Lauren is no powerhouse singer, but she hits all the notes. The sound seems a lot more beefy when you are actually there though. In fact, the Edinburgh show I went to had possibly the loudest bass I've ever heard. Arguably too loud to be honest!

Martins songs are great on record, but his vocals are a bit weak live. The dancing makes up for it though ;)

i'm not really a fan of Martin's songs on record tbh. think the album would've been better without them - they kind of ruin the flow i feel (and are just kind of shitty mopey songs). he should stick to singing backup (his bits on By The Throat being a great example of this working)

Would like to see these guys - mate saw them at Reading and said they were good - though Interpol and Arcade Fire are two must-sees so looks unlikely I can squeeze them in unfortunately. Slowly coming to terms with the fact that I may have to suffer some of Elbow instead.

    • Well when you chuck 150 predictions put somethings gotta stick 😜   When you have GC or Avril as options to sub Blink, Turnstile wouldn't be a good option at all. Put them under a heavier headliner.   The thought that three days grace will headline avalanche is pretty laughable with the slots they are getting this year at fests. They were class at RIP     On am overall side note, Bruce slipped on last night see you next year before the encore!   Also Maiden smashed it!
    • Assuming nobody knows she’s playing before the main sale, it wouldn’t be that bad. There’d still be plenty of Swifties for you to sneer at but it wouldn’t be because they’ve infiltrated the sale, it would be because she’s just that popular.
    • I just saw Rock am Ring in Germany did a video announcing blink-182 will be playing it next year during this year's festival there.   We talked about when Glastonbury announces it's first headline act but that would be different if they announced a 2028 headliner during next year's event.
