I meant clash more with metallica so I can watch all of Jack White and catch most or all of Pixies.

Didn't mean it in a nasty way to Metallica fans like yourself

And that's just mean.

I'm no Metallica fan. Either way I was just joking about that and I'm ecstatic that I can now see both. :D

Given Lazaretto a fair few listens now and really enjoy it, only song on it I really am not digging at all though is Just One Drink. Black Bat Licorice on the other hand...

yeah Just One Drink is a bit of a dud but the rest is pretty great. Black Bat Licorice is such a tune. hope he plays it at Glastonbury!

shame that Just One Drink seems to be one of the songs being played at every show (thus far). maybe that'll change once the album is released properly

Three Women, Lazarreto, Would You Fight For My Love, High Ball Stepper, That Black Bat Licorice - any of those from the new album would be lovely

also, considering before he was announced for the festival i didn't give that much of a shit about him, he's now one of my most looked forward to acts of the festival. why i'd never bothered to get in to the White Stripes before i'll never know (apart from icky Thump (album) which i've always loved)

reckon his set will be one of those 'i was there, and it was amazing' things that people talk about for years

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
