Tbc I told u they were playing

I don't think you did actually. I searched yesterday to see if you had done (apologies if I missed what you posted).

I was searching cos we've had info, and wanted to see if you'd already mentioned them. I did the same with Wild Beasts which we've also recently had info on, and that one you had mentioned.

It will be interesting to see where they play this year, probably Other i reckon after doing the Park and JP already. I reckon they wll support the Headliner on one of the days. it would be nice to see then Support the Pixies :)

The Horrors were fairly obvious though weren't they? Same with Wild Beasts. I'm going to say I've got inside info that Royal Blood and George Ezra are playing, and then when they do I'll start a thread saying 'I told you so'.

The majority of the predictions i've seen have been fairly obvious

thing is, there's a difference between a prediction and saying something from knowledge.

I can't speak for nufc1978, but I know that anything efests marks as TBC is marked as that as the result of info that's come to us - and so isn't a prediction.

(that doesn't necessarily mean that every single one we mark as TBC will be right. Our info can only ever as good as that info, and the belief we have in it).

Regarding what nufc1978 has posted, I've always suspected that he's working from knowledge and not making predictions, and as time has gone on there's nothing that is lessening that suspicion.

He has posted a name or three where I've had different conflicting info, but as I know for a fact that Glasto's lists at this time of years often still contain acts that won't play or haven't yet agreed to play, and that easily explains the differences between what we've each heard.

The proof either way with what nufc1978 has posted will be made clear when the line-up is announced - and while he might be expecting every act he's named to be confirmed and might be surprised when one or two are not, I won't be but would still believe he's worked from solid info if all but a few turned out to be right (precisely because I know how inaccurate the Glasto lists can be at this time of year).

In fact, I've now from what I've heard from my own sources got around enough belief in what he's been posting to be considering going thru his posts to put every name he's said into the efestivals rumour lists, on the basis that I think it's likely they'll be right.

It's far harder to guess the bands than you might think - as shown every year by the guesses that people make.

doubts have since been raised over Pixies and Eagles.

I'm not sure what doubts there might be with what he's said pixies-wise. Care to fill me in?

He did say Eagles were headlining and that might yet turn out to be wrong (I don't know for sure either way), but from info efests has had it does seem to be the case that they'll be on the bill.

As I've said (and nufc1978 doesn't seem to know), the Glasto lists change about a fair bit before they're solid (almost) unchanging lists, so it's quite possible he saw a list that had Eagles as headlining.

In one of the articles I've read in the last 24 hours, there's actually quotes from Emily that says that there's a fair bit of fluidity still with the line-ups, which back up what i've said happens.

I think the doubts that dentalplan is referring to is that they may not be headliners, not that they may not be playing.

yep, but where any act ends up is in part dependent on the availability of other acts they hope to have.

As I say, these things are fluid. The first Pixies info I had for this year (one of the first bits of info I had for this year) suggested that they might be headlining other - so perhaps that was in the running at some point (and maybe still is, I can't be sure).

Obviously Neil can take his stuff more seriously as he can go away and check, the other forum users don't have that facility so all we see is some guy throwing fairly obvious or already-mentioned names around.
