Eurythmics?

Sweet dreams are made of piss.

I don't much care for Lennox on her own, but Dave Stewart and band make the records much edgier than the saccharine album versions. I think they'd be a good proposition and I don't believe they've ever played, though I have a vague recollection of standing in a muddy field seeing Stewart performing with someone else at a festival (perhaps Glastonbury) in the nineties. I think he had big headphones with aerials on.

by the time Eurythmics released Sweet Dreams they were already past their best.

The first album is great, the rest just commercial pap.

I quite liked 'Be Yourself Tonight' which was the last album of theirs I bought.

I last saw them on the Revival tour (that was 1989) so I may be in no position to say what they are like live in more recent times.

Let's cut out the crap eh, and just have the talent. Damian. :)

It's definitely true that his output - a hit single with an Ini Kamoze song, that album with Nas and being 4th wheel in SuperHeavy - marks him out as a premium talent.

Unlike doing Sticky Fingers and Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed and that.

Next up you'll be claiming that Talking Heads were only a poor afrobeat band, which only gets to demonstrate the same lack of knowledge you're displaying with Damian.

But hey, I know a poor blues ripping-off band.

Glad to see flippant comments are getting met with the ad hominems that they deserve.

Though, to clarify, I don't think that all Talking Heads did was afrobeat. From memory - and really, it was months and months ago so I'm not sure why you're bringing it up now - I think I said that Remain In Light had secondhand afrobeat riffs on it. I stand by that. I think the expanded edition even has an outtake on it called Fela's Riff, ffs.

Good job you changed things so you couldn't think yourself as stupid. :P

    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
