I'm pretty sure last year I gave people a point for having the 'right band' even if they were announced outside the positions in the game. So Will is right, he'll get a point for Royal Blood even if they end up playing on the FR (and that's why I threw Drenge and Blood Red Shoes in at the last minute although I forgot Royal Blood had been announced), although last year it was just bands appeared lower down the NME rather than on the FR. If he's got the days right then it's two points, however I'm not sure if predicting them sixth on main and them playing sixth on FR would get a third point for right position. That's just taking the piss. We've got a week to hammer this out.

You could place 27 of the 28 acts on listings; get at least 25 points with added bonuses for lucking out on day, stage or even position.

I only got 39 last year as well.

No, if you read the rules right stage and right position are separate points. So if you predict someone to headline the main stage and they headline the NME you still get the point for right position.

Anyway given the dissent it's probably best of people just add their own scores up how they interpret the rules and then argue amongst themselves as to who used the correct ones.

Would it not be a lot simpler to just do it as acts in the right slots rather then introduce days and all of that crap?

Aka

Right band in right slot on right stage = Blink 182 headlining main = 2 points?

Right band on right stage =1 point

That way it's easy and based on the acts you think that'll play and in which slot specifically. It'll keep the scores lower but still test our reading and Leeds booking guesswork ability the same.

However I think a clean sweep should be 5 points. You should get a bonus point for being completely correct. It'll stop those from being wrong on day or position in 3 points from being contenders and separate the best from the rest.

I just think by having the 1 point system is flawed because you could just announce whoever has been announced already like architects 5th down on main and still get a point despite us knowing they are in the pit?
