It was good of BT to cut my internet at 5:50 and bring it back online 40 minutes later

it's only 15000 tickets.

there are almost nine times as many to sell on sunday - which would mean it'd take just under three hours to sell out at the same rate

not so rapid really, as expected.

I got through to the pay button and was told tickets for the wednesday were sold out yet the holding page was not saying that. not happy. Doesn't look good for sunday

Does it not usually sell out quicker than that on a Sunday?

I got through to the entering registration page and it wouldn't let me passed there, anyone else have a similar problem?

TBH I didn't fancy the coach as national express are cheaper but I'm skeptical about booking that early now. this is for our honeymoon anol

So assuming transaction times are quicker on Sunday, I think we should have maybe an hour or so.

Why would you think transaction times would be quicker on a Sunday?

I'd say two and a bit hours - the limiting factor is what the servers will let through to the purchase page not the number trying, so it should go at the same rate. If anything slower as there'll be more traffic at earlier stages and more chance of systems getting a a bit choppy

I think (and it's just a guess!) because:

1) people won't have to faff about clicking on arrival days and then bus locations etc (only a few seconds, but it adds up when there tens of thousands of transactions).

and

2) I think people will buy more tickets per transaction, as I think non-coach goers will have bigger groups to buy for.

It's reassuring-ish! The site didn't have a major crash, so I suppose that means that at normal operating capacity it can shift at least 15,000 in about 15 to 20 mins. Now I think people selecting days for coaches and times will have added to the transaction time, plus I think bigger groups of people will go for Sundays tickets (I think people who go by coach tend to be in smaller groups).

So assuming transaction times are quicker on Sunday, I think we should have maybe an hour or so.

I really do think the world cup will have a detrimental effect (or beneficial if you prefer!) on ticket sales, not alot, but i feel it will.

If it takes 1hr 40 again like last time, then I'm very confident on getting a ticket, personally i think we'll be heading for a record sell out time. SeeTickets server was faulty last time, which basically caused the ticket sales to grind to a halt for the first 45 minutes, when they finally got going again it took 45 minutes to shift 100,000 tickets, call me naive, but that's pretty frightening.

I hope i'll be done nice and early so i have a cool head to help everyone else!
