Bombskare on top form last night. Would love to see them getting an evening slot on a main stage but for reasons I don`t get they are destined for afternoon slots in tents. Really hope they are at KC and would guess Chai Wallahs, ideally before Craig Charles. We all need a bit of Ska in our life :dancing: Always really liked the way the lead singer barks " GO " before the instrumental dancey bits. Hard working band that clearly love what they do. Found this from Wickerman couple of years back. From memory this was an afternoon slot in the Scooter tent.

Big Country at the Barra`s with Frightened Rabbit for the Clutha Benefit gig next month. Think both of these could be at KC. Big Country are all change and nothing like a headliner these days but whats not too like about some of their singalong hits on a sunny afternoon / evening slot. Tartan shirt at the ready.

Just booked John Bramwell from I Am Kloot doing a solo set at the Glee Club...verrrrrry excited at that!

Plus the Wind-Up Birds seem to be going gig crazy at the moment so I'll make the trek up to Leeds for a couple of them

Great night last night at The Barrowlands. Sadly Big Country were average at best. The big tunes were still ok but their opening choices of the set were shockers. Frightened Rabbit were pretty good but maybe a bit too Mumfordy for most on here !! Think a few have already mentioned them on here but this was my first time seeing Alabama 3. Brilliant live band, nearly blew my ears off. Just listening to a few of their tunes just now and would love to see them again in the summer.

I've got a mixed bag of gigs so far this year. Seen Jack's Attic and Kid Canaveral, got Beyonce on Sunday, Cud, Johnny Marr, Shonen Knife, Joolz Holland with Marc Almond coming up, but I'm missing a couple of potential belters while I'm away in the next couple of week (Band of Holy Joy/Wave Pictures/Stan Brinks and Freschard). Still, we're staying in Arusha before and after the climb, which apparently is the 'bongo capital of Tanzania'. My skinny-indie-moody blueprint for music might be forever re-written !
