Rockness 2014

Franz Ferdinand would be brilliant. Just a case of whether Rockness can get them to headline or TITP snap them up with more money.

My idea 3l headliners would be:

Friday - white lies

Saturday - phoenix

Sunday - Franz Ferdinand

Not sure how much these three would cost.

I'm not in the least well informed. I'm the one skipping around the Sub Club tent like a schoolgirl on a heavy dose of acid.

But the other acts you mentioned? Well, I've heard of them. (In fairness I've heard of FF too).

edit: after posting this, i see C&S are starting to put new material out. I think this is very likely to happen myself.

Phoenix could not headline a festival the size of Rockness in the UK. I went to see them at Coachella (incase DP came on) and thought they were good, they have a big following across there, but I'd never heard of them before they were on the Coachella line up. They're subbing Tuts on a Friday night at T, they could never headline Rockness.

I would argue that The Vaccines are a bigger draw now than Franz and they subbed the Friday main stage so wouldn't headline. And White Lies wouldn't headline the Clash tent, never mind the main stage.

The also just headlined the John peel stage at glasto on the last night so I'm sure they'll do ok at RockNess ;-)

Phoenix have been about for years and were never that big here and this album hasn't really

made to much of an impact in this part of the world and I just can't see there being a massive breakthrough for them here until there next album if its good
