Whilst not wanting to jump on the thread about back ache because this is not really about that, i really want to have a massage over the course of the festival, after a couple of days walking etc i feel drained. Where who and how much in peoples experience is a massage in the healing fields?

Massage in healing fields is a festival tradition for us and one of my favourite bits of the festival :)

If you head into the healing fields you'll find loads of people offering head, back and feet massage. Also spinal readjustment and stuff like that. Sometimes you have to wait a while but it's a lovely place to chill out anyway. They ask for a donation and I think I give £15-£20 for 20-30 minutes. Well worth it! We always go on Thursday to ease rucksack bag but I might go twice this year. Massage on Sunday would be lush.

Thanks i might take this up, will see how i feel, and yes i am getting old so it has more appeal though not as much as the music....... yet . The alcohol will kick in to eleviate most stress and strains but i think a massage on Thursday to loosen me up sounds really great.

I think I may do this too, it's about treating myself this year. This is my only holiday, so I want to see what else there is to do too.

definitely going to this year - got a hamstring tear that I have been still doing sport on and its made my back ache for a few months now. A bowen massage wouldn't go a miss. My friends always have a massage of some sort and say they are very good.

my better half always has a massage or 2 in the healing fields cos she does suffer with her back. I did properly LOL a few years ago after she shelled out big quids for 30 minutes of Reiki "massage"

:D

I have a massage at the festival every year.

It is wonderful. Massage is a great and healthy thing anyway, but to have a massage at Glastonbury. This is such a hippy thing to say but I believe it to be true. It heightens my senses to the festival around me. I enjoy hearing (but not intently listening) the sounds of the festival around me while my body and muscles are being induced into a relaxed state. When it is all done, I'm ready for what is to come...whether that be partying or just chilling out.
