Since he will def be playing Lampard and Mikel for the Liverpool game. i imagine he will do what he did last night and park the bus for the afternoon on Sunday.

Moaniho park the bus? He wouldn't do that surely?

I think it's absolutely fantastic that Mikel and Fat Frank will play on Sunday - two slower players would be hard to find, and I suspect that the likes of Sterling might give them a bit of a run-around.

And Jose has always said Chelsea weren't good enough to win the League this year...

anyone who thought it was meant seriously makes Nigel Farage look smart.

He's just making excuses for when they inevitably don't win. Every manager does it. And it's only logical for him to concentrate on the Champions League, he just wnats to make sure that everyone knows it.

So in the summer he is going to say Liverpool won it only because he concentrated on the CL ? Even though he has already said he didn't think Chelsea are in the right place to win the PL this year ?

You are both stupid to be honest...

Chelsea have a lot of outstanding players... But they also have a lot of square pegs when they have round holes to fill. Jose said this from the off... and it was true then and its true now....

Its not an excuse... Its a reason.. He has done well getting Chlesea as far as he has this season.

No one is saying that he's not done well.

It's him trying to suggest that he could do better still, but he's choosing not to.

FFS.

So, Utd....

Reports are saying that fergie gets to give him opinion about who the next manager should be. How did that work out last time? :P

And reports also say that Moyes failed because he didn't have the experience, and so for the next manager only an experienced manager is good enough. (Try telling that to Liverpool. :P)

Now, which Utd fan is going to be the first to stand up and try to tell us all that Utd aren't like City and Chelsea and don't try to buy success? :P

(PS: I think Chelsea have won the "which club is more classy" competition :P).

Yeah 'The Man Utd Way' is bollocks, they've been able to cultivate that image and crow on about it due to the longevity and success of one manager. It's not the most accurate smaple size and it's not as if they were known for it before Ferguson. I even saw one of those stupid infographics claiming that this was the first time that Man Utd had sacked a manager since November 1986. Well duh.

us older types always knew that was the case.

the younger types fell for it hook line and sinker. I've been told by peeps here more than once that I was wrong about "the Man Utd way".

Did he want Mourinho? Think Bobby Charlton was going to veto that on grounds of his style not befitting the ethos of the club?

Either way Utd should be thanking the god's of footie that Jose wasnt appointed. He's the pits.

LVG will set the place up for Guardiola to come in and take over in 2/3 seasons time.

He is already a winner FFS... Its only your narrow narrative that is trying to suggest otherwise...

Still can't read simple words I see.

But to get down to your level if the next appointment he has an hand in goes on to do well then surely using your own logic that would make him a winner again ?

Nope - cos Moyes was solely his choice, the next is not.

And Moyes' style was befitting the ethos of the club? Well if true then Bobby has lost it. Im under the impression it was Fergies decision and it was because he saw in Moyes something of himself potentially. (Should of went to Specsavers!)

Jose is a winner. And thats what is important to a club first a foremost. Utd would be in much better shape today if Jose was there. The fact they went for Moyes over an available Jose if absolutely absurd to me. I loved the choice but I think there was 2 people in the world who thought it was the right one and David Moyes was not one of them

there's being a winner and a twat, and then there's being (just) a winner.

Utd clearly wanted to try and avoid the twat part (too late, they've had fergie :P), but ultimately, the bank account needs them to also win.

Personally I'm absolutely loving the thought of Van Gaal and a £150M kitty, cos that has the very real potential to financially cripple Utd for decades.

You only have to look at how Chelsea did with many of their "best in the world" managers to see that there's no more guarantee of success with a big name than there is from anyone.

The only thing it does get Utd is slightly better players than they'll otherwise be able to attract as a non-CL club.

Christ Bobby Charlton, are they really relying gon this old fuck to provide an objective and decisive decision? I hope for their sake involving him and Ferguson are just token gestures to maintain this pretense of 'The Man Utd Way', otherwise it sounds like the Glazers have been suckered into believing it's true as well.

"Bobby, Alex, thanks for your input, now if you wouldn't mind heading down to the lobby to do a few interviews for MUTV anout the Old Trafford tradition or something we can get on with looking for a manager who might be any good. Feel free to take a slice of cake with you".

    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
