The longer Pendulum stay out of festivals, the higher the demand for them will be so maybe Knife Party next year and Pendulum 2015. If KP were at V, I doubt I would see them as I would probably be seeing one of the two top stage if I got a ticket

I know she is huge but I would rather her not headline or if she did then many she could headline a capital fm concert instead. I like her songs but she is no where near Beyonce and to headline a year after Beyonce the comparison would be made I think

I think it would make more sense to leave Pendulum out of the festival circuit next year, and just do one more year of KP. Especially if KP's album is getting released first in the year, suggests Pendulum's album might have a later release date. Although they could do some shows pre new album material, and then 2015 shows post new material.

I think Pendulum are looking more at late 2014, I reckon R&L have a good chance of securing them 1st but I'm quite confident they'll also do Glasto again in 15 should that all happen.

The idea of a new album without touring is only going to get hype and get people saying, tour!!

Katy perry could be a contender for next year.

Her new single Roar is 16 in the UK from pre-orders alone.

It's also predicted to be the highest selling and fastest selling single of 2013.

Unless I'm mistaken she had a mid-afternoon slot on 4Music last time she played V in 2011. Yes Roar is an anthem and the sales of it are huge but I can't see her suddenly jumping to main stage headliner just through one song. And in any case, 2011 was the Teenage Dream hype so she was hardly much less popular then.

EDIT: Sorry my mistake, her last appearance was 2009, before the Teenage Dream hype. But it was still mid-afternoon on 4Music back then so even 5 years on I can't see her anything better than third from top on main.

Don't bank on that, I think I'd rather see V put less emphasis on dance after this year's crowds anyway Edited by Zac Quinn

I can't see Lily Allen being third on main but I could see Katy Perry doing it. Looking at this year's line up the top 3 didn't really flow much so she could play under any headliner pretty much.

I don't think V will book less dance acts just based on crowds this year. The Rudimental crowd was big and Calvin Harris was too. I heard someone saying the kings of Leon crowd and the Calvin Harris crowd met in the middle of the two stages but I'm not sure if that was true

Same as lady Gaga. I think Gaga could be a name thrown into the hat as she has a new album soon and the single she released is selling fairly well. Gaga wasn't high last time she was at V but she is a headline contender. Whoever said Katy couldn't make the jump from low main stage to headliner must think Gaga has no chance at all just because of the jump :-P

I think Gaga could headline and Katy Perry play where Jessie J did this year or even sub.

Gaga is barely flopping her new single just isn't number 1?

Yet katy's is 1 everywhere, Katy just obviously has the better (more universally liked) song.

Gaga is still much much much bigger than Katy in terms of a stage act/headliner material.

    • Muse will be about but the issue with Muse is that they’ll have the pick of doing IOW, BST, Glasto, R&L or big parks/stadiums.

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
