Grab one of those shiny space blankets and put it between your inner tent and the outside shell - works a treat. Makes the tent loads cooler during the day and warmer at night.

I'm going to take one of those tarps that are black on one side and silver on the other. That combined with some hazel poles, cable ties, duck tape and paracord should enable me to cobble something together.

Ive done the space blanket thing at quite a few festivals and i swear by it. Just securely duct tape it all round your tent and make sure there are no gaps; you will need wuite a few but they only cost a quid each! Its not noisy if taped down properly and it works wonders. Even made our tent in Benicassim bearable until almost 10am! At bestival last year, all my mates crawled in to my 2 man tent for sleep after 8am as it was so much cooler than their big spacious tents. It definitely works.

Thanks everyone for advice.

I just brought some space blankets.. cheap enough! Link to Space blankets

I tried last time but they blew around and ended up at just one end of the tent so I didn't really get chance to test it :(

Although I read somewhere that attaching it with bulldog clips is the answer!

I'm still tempted by those LED tent fans though in my original post. 4 of those around the place sounds amazingly cool (in both senses of the word).

I am being treated for Cancer and one of the

side effects from a cancer controlling drug is that

I can overheat and black out if I don't cool down even within a house.

in 2010 it was very hot and I did use four space

blankets { between inner tent and the outside tent} and it was a vast improvement than what it would have been without them.

As I work late at night I sleep daytime and there is no way would I have ever been able to sleep

in the tent without them.

they have to be between the outer and inner

otherwise they will blow away - there is many different dimensions you can buy so the greater the area the better and I find its best to pitch the tent so its facing north and that has

worked for me.

this year it does look as if they will be needed and they don't take up much space.

I need to stop this... I'm hooked on amazon this morning, nothing but temperature related camping equipment... no doubt, sod's law, by spending this money and being prepared for scorching sun, it'll be a lovely snowy glasto 2013...

Can't see how this will work, or if it will make much difference but sucker that I am I brought one anyway... Cool Spray??

I intend to be sneezing and shivering from Thursday to Monday. I'll be the one at the Brother's Bar with a blanket and a lemsip. Sexy!
