Yerjokinarnya (England's keeper in past years) and alowen are part of the group who go to the festival with me and because I have had to drop out they've asked me to take their names off.

Knew i could count on you dan, and many thanks Bigjonyr. Really appreciate the support.

We now have 20 players per team which is a good number, I'd like a few more to cover drop outs..

Anyone any ideas on unplugged bands who are at the festival, which might want to come down and provide entertainment?

If we get the go ahead pehaps having a word with Brothers Cider again and see if they'll throw in a few free tokens for the participants. Quite fancy some free cider.

As for who could present the trophy, obviously Eavis would be the first choice but he's obviously going to be very busy at the time. Plenty of "celebs" go to Glastonbury religiously, maybe ask someone like Tim Lovejoy if they could spare a few minutes? Worth a try.

I'm hoping to get Hobo Jones on board again yes, would also like a backup plan.

Been off the forum for a little while so a bit behind. If there's room for a sub goalie on either team I'd be more than happy to make up the numbers.

I've got first aid training (can't remember if I got a qualification, it was AvMed though) & would be available to help set up. Anything to help.

Oh wow, cheers! I've heard about the World Cup before & surprised I haven't seen it as I have camped on Kidney Mead.

I'll save this page to my favourites so as not to miss anything.

Well up for this. Must get fitter. Cue 'Eye of the Tiger'

Tremendous.

This will be my third Glastonbury(09,10 and 13) but first Glastonbury World Cup!

Can I recommend Green as the colour for England's T shirts?

Being an a Plymouth Argyle fan I need cheering up after the last few seasons.

Also it's green, so good for the environment.....or something.

    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
