Stones set-list

A lot of stuff to choose from.

But what would be your ideal Stones set-list ?

A nice round 20.

Strangely enough, while compiling my list ,and for one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands ever, i realised that they do an awful lot of outstanding ballads.

I'd be all over this.

Gimmie Shelter
Love In vain
Little T & A
Streets of love
Angie
Before they make me run
Beast of burden
Sympathy for the devil
No use in crying
Only rock 'n' roll
Tumbling dice
Happy
You can't always get what you want
Wild horses
Honky tonk women
Just my imagination
Dead flowers
She was hot
Before they make me run

They should walk out onto that Pyramid and let "Can't You Hear Me Knockin" rip.

Would also be chuffed to hear "Loving Cup", "Moonlight Mile" and "You Got the Silver" also a curveball like "2000 Light Years".

I really want to hear Harlem Shuffle (I know it's not really a Stones song, but their cover version was shit hot, and they started as a covers band, (inc the likes of Satisfaction).)

Brown Sugar's the greatest rock'n'roll 45 ever released - and the fact that it's bolted on to be played makes me kinda giddy.

I'm actually hoping they keep the album tracks to a minimum and bring out more of the sixties singalong singles - Under My Thumb, Let's Spend The Night Together, The Last Time, Little Red Rooster, It's All Over Now. In this context, anything released post-1981 can do one. They played Slipping Away at the IOW, and I think it's fair to say that's what happened to the attention of a large chunk of the crowd.

Hopefully as it isnt a Stones gig and therefore there is likely to be a lot of tick box and curious people there, they will play a greatest hits set and not just songs for the Stones fans

Therefore i would like purely the well known songs for the casual fan ie paint it black, sympathy for the devil, start me up, angie, doom and gloom, gimme shelter, cant always get what you want etc etc etc

Was their IOW gig that bad? I'm beginning to feel I'm missed out by not being there :)

Do they ever play 19th Nervous Breakdown these days? Also it would be nice if Marianne Faithful made an appearance (I think she still sings doesn't she?). 'As Tears Go By' maybe.
