Michael at the Folk Awards

Just watching the BBC folk awards and was surprised to see ME popping up to present a life time achievement award to Roy Harper. He spoke a bit about the beginnings of the festival and Roy's involvement and said he wanted him to play this year.

Despite the awards being held in Glasgow in January, Michael still turned up in his shorts!

I think the Dubliners footage was from last year's show when they got a lifetime achivement award.

Would love to see them play the festival though.

Just listening to 6music playing an old BBC Pogues session and thinking I want to see them live again too.

Sorry folks officially The Dubliners are no more. Following some shows at back end of 2012 they are no more. Once Barney died that was it really and John has now retired. Some of he other members are touring but in truth it over.

If Roy is playing, I'm so so there.

I last saw him about 5 years ago. His voice was starting to lose its power, but he's still a god of music.

Roy has been a very long time friend of free festivals everywhere. More like him please.

Was real lucky to get to see Roy Harper twice over the last few years. Lets hope upon hope that he plays.
